Sorry but we wont be going back here again in a hurry!
Friday night and we ordered pizza from here for the first time. Found pictures of the menu on menulog.someone needs to spend time on a website.
We asked for half and half but they didn't do what we wanted, meat lovers and prawn so we ordered a regular of each one and a garlic bread for $32.
Well for $13:50 for a pizza we waited 25 min and were told 15.
The look on my face when my name was called must have been a site as the boxes were like lunchtime pizza size
Get home and wow.disappointment city. Garlic bread $4 was 4 slices of a french stick, very dry and not much taste and burnt on the edges. Pizza wasn't much bigger than a bread and butter plate for $13:50 !gee come on guys a regular pizza is way bigger anywhere. One meat ball on each slice, 3 bites and the slice was gone! Very salty ham or bacon, loads of that on it. Couldn't taste the sauce or the cheese.i did find one slice of salami though,I scored there! The slices weren't even cut properly.I had to recut them !all uneven some very tiny slices.not even an A for effort
Ok so move onto the prawn pizza.
Rubbery frozen prawns, one on each slice,no cheese apparent nor anything else bar dried up think scraggy mushrooms. I know There was a but of cheese on my partners meat slice, just the one, because I saw him stretch a bit out!
The bases were terrible and soggy didn't hold the topping even though it lacked topping. The cutting of it was pathetic, one piece was about and inch wide and 2 inches long!
I even had to spit out the unveiled prawn on a piece. No taste if anything really. Place is supposedly a restaurant and bar. The restaurant is a large bright room off the shop ,a party of about 12 was there while I was waiting for my order. 4 small square tables joined to make 2 rows and the place was full. Don't even know where the bar was. The waiting area is overly huge and unnecessary. Lots of single chairs and a couple of lounges. Shop is bright and cheap looking. Cheap grass mat covering the prep and cooking area with a kitchen out back. Huge front counter area.
Hope anyone has a better experience than us tonight. Very disappointing. Girl on the counter taking orders was ok . One guy walking around in kitchen doing nothing, just walking back and forth to counter. Don't know what anyone bothers with this place

Approximate cost: $13:50

You give this a very high rating for such a bad review! Nothing seemed to be right for your visit. I am confused.

I went to Portivinos last December for a Christmas party, I hadnt been there before, but most of the others that I met there had and had been raving about it. I was hugely impressed, the waitress we had was really nice and nothing was too much trouble. I had garlic bread and a pizza, I cant remember what type of pizza I ordered, but I dont think it would matter as everyone enjoyed their meals without exception. A few people had pasta dishes which they also loved, I will go back here again for sure. Excellent.

This is a little restaurant/ takeaway pizza place tucked away at back of shopping, but so busy. The pizzas are prepared and cooked right in front of you, so you can see everything is fresh. The pizza is so good we went there 2 nights in a row.

Approximate cost: $20
