I love this place for browsing but that's about where it ends. The gardens and plant displays are beautiful and never fail to inspire. I also love the gift shop for the unique and classy garden inspired home wares. The problem is that everything is so expensive. The shop is popular and is always busy (even on wet days) but I think I have only ever actually purchased once in the many time I have been there.

great atmosphere, it is a very vibrant restaurant with really good scones with jam and cream which ALMOST give my mother a run for her money!! I better not say too much as she too is on this site and she may see it.

Beautiful vista overlooking river, but I found the food very ordinary which cost top dollar, I would never buy from the nursery as everything is too expensive, why would you when Bunnings is just up the road.

what a lovely place to have breakfast - its a shame they wont split the bill. Gardens look great .. colours are vibrant - makes you want to get into your garden and start planting for Spring.

I have not actually tried the cafe yet, but if you are after a Nursery which stocks an awesome variety of plants that are extremely healthy and you want sound advice to go with it, then this is the place for you.

It also stocks some amazing sculptures and a beautiful gift shop with homewares among other things.

It may be more expensive than other places, but I think you get what you pay for at this place. I loved it and wanted to buy everything!

I like Poyntons. It has the location and is always a great place to go to on a sunny day. I have always found the menu at the cafe to be suitable, there is a choice for all. A wander around the nursery and gift shops makes for an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours. The plants are a bit on the expensive side but having said that they are always happy to offer good advice and they give that for free.

A lovely place to meet for a coffee or lunch, looking out over the Maribyrnong River. Te nursery is well designed and includes a large area for fruit trees, as well as a great range of native plants. The garden statues and sculptures also add to the atmosphere.

Rather then a restaurant, to me it was more like a cafe. A bit expensive though. The plants and the way the nursery is set up is very good. It certainly makes you want to buy the plants although they are expensive.

Approximate cost: $20.00

The people working at Poyntons are so helpful and really know what they are talking about. It is set out really well and is a lovely to wander around and stop for a coffee or meal in the cafe. They seem to have everything you could want at a nursery with the added bonus of having a great cafe.
