just moved to Melbourne and have been to dinner a few times. THe Eye fillet was amazing, lovely and tender and full of flavour.

The first time i ordered dessert there they had run out of brulee (so I had pannacotta instead which was lovely) On this occasion however I ordered the brulee and was very excited when it arrived to the table. It was heavenly one of the best desserts i had ever had the other was the pannacotta from QPO as well :)

I had been to QPO for a drink before but my girlfriend and I decided to go there for an impromptu lunch today - she does dine there fairly often as it's just down the road from her work but it was my first dining experience there.

There is a great range of wines, beers and other drinks available. Our waitress went through the specials of the day and recommended the Mediterranean Pizza which I decided to order. My girlfriend had the Salmon Fillet on wok tossed vegetables with a capsicum pesto.

The Pizza was delicious ... crispy, thin crust and covered in eggplant, Spanish onion, capsicum, chorizo, zucchini, sauteed mushrooms and a home made sugo sauce. It was certainly enough for a large appetite - I couldn't finish it. Would be enough to share for 2 as a light lunch. The Salmon was cooked to perfection and served on snow peas, asparagus and bok choy - she has had it before and loves it.

Their coffee is pretty good too. For both of us with a couple of drinks each lunch came to $60 ... pretty good value in my book.

Approximate cost: $15 - $25

I went here once because Skinny Dog had just closed the kitchen. They are great in the way that they will cook anything for you even when it's late. Service was good and food was nice. It's got a great outdoor area but it's in a busy junction that can get some car smells at times. Give it a go, I want to go back and have another dinner when time allows.

QPO is a a nice little cafe/bar and venue for functions. the food is good and reasonably priced, they make a good coffee and have an all day breakfast menu Saturday and Sundays. the service was ok; food and drinks came out fast however within 5 minutes of sitting down i got asked for my order 4 times by 3 different waitresses which was very irritating! in the end i rushed my order without having a good chance to take my time in selecting. have also been to a 21st here which they pulled off very well.

Approximate cost: $18
