After an appointment, my husband and I needed some lunch so came into this hotel. Very quiet but the restaurant was nicely set up. However we shared a pizza in the bar area. The pizza was large and had plenty of toppings. The staff were helpful and friendly and I guess this hotel would have atmosphere when it was full of people. Just quiet on weekday lunchtimes apparently.
Great get together for friends, make wood oven pizzas in the courtyard. Smelt amazing, great ambience and rustic decor. Magnificent chandeliers. Had the fish and chips which was a generous serve of flat head with duck fat chips, so tasty, they had gluten free options, our group loved all their meals, only let down was they brought out the wrong meal for one guests and she didn't receive the meal she had ordered until we had all finished eating, free drink might have helped.
Approximate cost: $26.00
Sounds great, is on my go to list.
A must visit, great local pub, has lovely outside back area, tv screens in all areas, fire places, great local bands, good music, has great vibe, relaxing Sundays, lovely for Birthdays and special events. Finger food is great and the restaurant is simply brilliant! Fantastic wines and great service, a must visit anytime.
Approximate cost: $18.00
Sounds great, will have to give this place a go.
The first thing I notice about The Queen's Head Hotel is its very rustic feel. The pub itself is over 150 years old, and I love the atmosphere. Some of the pub staples are absent, but they more than make up for it with a variety of modern dishes. On my last visit, I was pleasantly surprised by their grilled king george whiting. The service is good, and the value is also excellent - would recommend.
