This review is for European Cafe, Norwood SA

The name 'European Cafe' may sound very general, but they specialise in Italian food, and the food is delicious! The ingredients are always fresh, and the flavours are delightful. Make sure you're going to book in advance if you plan on going there on a Friday or Saturday, as they can get very busy. Great service, good value, and absolutely magnificent food! A+

This review is for Chris Jarmer @ Air, Adelaide SA

Chris Jarmer is a wonderful chef, and the quality of his food is excellent considering the price. Surprisingly, his speciality is hot chips, but they are delicious, cooked and seasoned to perfection - I suppose generally speaking it's easy to get them wrong but very hard to get them right! Has a good wine selection, friendly service, and reasonably priced.

This review is for Daniel's Licensed Restaurant, Adelaide SA

Daniel's restaurant is one of the many Italian restaurants located down Rundle Street, and it serves rather poor quality food in comparison to it's rivals (in my opinion). Their chicken polo was very greasy and made me feel a little sick after eating it (I couldn't finish it either, which is a rarity for me!), and their drinks are rather expensive. They have a classic range of pre-prepared cakes and biscuits, and do an OK coffee, I don't think I'll eat another main there though.

This review is for Zambracca, North Adelaide SA

Zambracca is one of the myriad of cafes which line O'Connell Street in North Adelaide, the atmosphere is nice and relaxed, the service is good, and the food and coffee are also good. I wouldn't say that they stand out over other surrounding cafe's, but they are certainly no worse. On my last visit they made some tasty bruschetta, and their bowls of wedges were crispy (with a lot of sweet chilli and sour cream), and their coffee's were also well prepared.

This review is for Lucia's, Adelaide SA

Lucia's restaurant, located immediately next to Lucia's Fine Foods in the central markets, is a truly delightful little spot. It's always a toss up as to whether we visit Lucia's or the international food court every friday night at the markets. They prepare a wonderful range of italian dishes, and their highlight (in my opinion), is the lasagne. They also do a wonderful individual pizza with anchovies. If you can get a seat (it's ALWAYS packed out on Friday nights!), then definitely give them a visit!

Approximate cost: $10

This review is for Phuket Thai Restaurant, Glenelg SA

verified email - 18 Nov 2009

It has only been until recently that I've visited Phuket - the restaurant itself has been there for a very long time, and I remember as a child having a laugh over it's name every time I saw it (very childish, I know :S). The place has a very authentic feel about it, and it serves lovely food too - their tom yum is delicious, and I was rather surprised about the quality of their thai yellow curry. I recommend.

This review is for Tiger Lilly Cafe, North Adelaide SA

Tiger Lilly is generally an typical thai restaurant, although they focus on more modern rather than authentic cuisine. They do a wonderful Pad Thai, and their green curry is also delicious. The staff are always friendly and service is quick, value is also very reasonable (they do good lunch deals for around $8.50)

This review is for Seng Kee Yum Cha, Adelaide SA

verified email - 18 Nov 2009

Seng Kee Yum Cha is one of the myriad of restaurants filling the international food court in the central markets. It serves a wide variety of pre-cooked foods (pay per plate, depending on how many different types you want), as well as a variety of fresh cooked orders. They do a wonderful hot pot, consisting of a large clay bowl filled with prawns, pork, marinated chicken, noodles and vegetables. Delicious

This review is for Amarin Thai, North Adelaide SA

verified email - 18 Nov 2009

Amarin Thai stands out among thai restaurants in Adelaide - the quality of their food has always been exceptionally high in my experience. They have a large range of authentic thai dishes, in my opinion the highlights are the pandan chicken for entree and the prawn and roasted coconut with lime, betel & ginger for main. Very fresh, with just the right amount of spice, excellent service and good value. Definitely worth dropping in for a meal!

This review is for The Buffalo Family Restaurant, Glenelg North SA

I was rather intrigued as to what it would be like dining on a boat (without it actually moving!), and I must say it's a rather interesting experience. Although navigating yourself around the place is a little difficult, the low key, rustic settings make the dining experience a nice one. The food is of high quality (I was quite impressed with their fish and chips, cooked to perfection), and the service is also pretty good. The price is reasonable too, and how many chances are you going to have to dine on a boat?
