So I was advised by RAA that their documentation team get to decide at the time of a claim what goes and what doesn't go with their product disclosure statement so just because it is listed doesn't mean it will apply at the time of a claim. Wouldn't touch anything RAA related with a ten-foot pole.

Don't bother making a claim. They don't look after their own clients even when not at fault and not liable.

Home and contents isn’t a good idea with this company when it comes to the Flooding, extremely slow and full of delays with trivial questions. I’ve cancelled my policy owing to the way a friend of mine has been dealt with.

The insurance policies are great - the only time to know their true effectiveness is at Claim time and their claim officers are very well trained and helpful.

We have multiple policies with RAA; house, contents, car & caravan. We get an extra 10% discount for having several policies.
We have a rating 1 for life on our car policies. The premiums are very competitive with other insurance companies.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. And local, so you're not talking to somebody you can't understand at an overseas call centre.
The real proof is when a claim needs to be made. We have had several claims in the last few years, from road accidents, damaged computer, lost wedding ring and water damage to our home. The staff handle the claim with care & compassion and my last couple of claims have been organized over the phone, without needing to fill out forms.
The claims are settled and paid out promptly; appraisal and approval on our car claims were organized very quickly, with our choice of repairer.
This is where it really counts. Insurance is only as good as the handling of claims, and RAA excel at this. Recommend!

They are a great trusting company and I have had amazing experience with them everytime. They are South Australian based so I can always speak with the person I am looking for. They are very competitive on there house insuance.

WE HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF THE RAA FOR YEARS THEY ARE VERY HELFULL WHEN YOUR CAR BRAKES DOWNS WOULD NOT BE WITHOUT THIS SERVICE

I have had insurance with these guys for 5 years and had no dramas they are very good if you cant pay the months premium you can extend it till the date you can very friendly and helpful.

Every time I go to the RAA, the service I receive is unbelievable. they offer everything from car seats for children, maps, travel items, members get a discount and special offers - like the drive in for $10 per car per film. Can't beat that for value.

Good for road side assistance but unfortunately there no bonuses at all when you dont use them for a few years and they still charge same rate with no incentive to stay with them.
Overall though decent service and will continue to use raa for now.
