Never waste your time on this company. I have registered as a member to do the survey for more than 1 year. They keep sending emails like spam but most springily I'm not eligible for any of them. If you have a clear criteria from the beginning, don't make people answer 20 questions before saying they are not qualified, waste of their time. I have been with several research companies, once you are qualified, you are contacted, not have to answer the whole surveys then find out you are not eligible like this. A bad way of earning free survey from people like scammers.
Dozens of surveys responded to, always deemed "not eligible" waste of my time with plenty of survey pages to fill out, only to get to the end and find out you are "not eligible"
Go with Askable instead, save yourself the hassle.
Thanks so much for giving us your feedback. Im sorry that you are frustrated with our selection process.
To help shed some light on how we work, at the beginning of each project we are provided with an extremely detailed brief by our client in order to find the most suitable candidates for their research project. Sometimes they are looking for people who use their product; sometimes for people who have never used their product; sometimes for people who occasionally use their product and so on
The information that our clients take away from our research sessions often contribute to major (and expensive!) decisions about their brands, as well as new products and services. In order to minimise any disruption to you, we do try and keep our survey time down to a minimum and sometimes we need to ask very specific questions that may disqualify you before completion stage. The qualities that may deem you not eligible are completely out of our control and determined by our client. We wish we could include absolutely everyone in our projects! But unfortunately, it isnt up to us.
I hope I have been able to help explain a little more about why you may not have been selected during your time with us, and I encourage you to check our socials every now and then for a project that suits you
I would not recommend signing up. I signed up and was given about 10 surveys. Each survey worth between $1.50-$2.50 each. One by one I go through each survey spending 5-15mins on each survey but always get you are not eligible for this survey. Seems it’s just information gathering. I tried again today and same situation, I’m not eligible. I unsubscribed from the email and it says my account will be closed but doesn’t mention what happened to my already completed data (profile)
Hi Mary!
I believe you may be referring to Realtime Rewards, which is different to Realtime Research. Realtime Research recruits participants for focus groups, online panels, interviews, taste tests etc. Whereas Realtime Rewards allows you to complete surveys for credit. If you would like to take up your dispute with Realtime Rewards you can contact this email: [email protected]
I've been a member for maybe 6-9 months. Unfortunately I am never within the range of people they are looking for. I don't hold this against the company. But as a mid-20's female it's a pain that I am never within the type of people they are looking for.
I don't doubt that this is a trust-worthy reputable company and site. It's only going to pay off if you are smack bang within their target group though.
Have been with Real time research for nearly a year now, their great, very professional when they get in touch with you regarding Market research.
I love being registered with them because you do not have to earn points to get a reward from them compared to other rewards program website, some of their projects are really interesting and you can test new products and do focus groups too.
I totally recommend them if your looking for a bit of fun
I am just a fairly new member of this Rewards group but what I have seen of it, makes me look forward to lots of surveys, focus groups and testing.
I have received a couple of emails to attend focus groups in the outer city area so am looking forward to getting some rewards.
Sounds good, but hopefully they serve outside NSW/VIC
A great way to earn real rewards without the point system! The website is easy to navigate and it is easy to look through available focus groups/product trials.
I'll have to check it out, sounds good
Received my first email from RTR for a laundry product testing 4 weeks ago. It was really a good experience and I was informed through email that I will be receiving my check as a reward for testing the product by the end of this month. I am excited!
RTR to me is a quiet website, I mean they seldom send you email invitations and once you receive it, you need to respond straight away for the needed information. I love it because you do not have to earn points to get a reward from them compared to other rewards program website.
Currently waiting for my check and more email invitations.
Approximate cost: $free
Sounds interesting
I haven't attended any focus groups as yet (I joined around 5 months ago) but I did get to trial a new full sized laundry product (which was delivered by australia post to my home) and I will also be receiving a $20 cheque for doing the follow up survey once I had used the product. This is the perfect way for me to earn extra money while getting to try new products.
I have been a member for several months and have been invited via email on several occasions to attend focus groups, but have only qualified and/or been free to attend on one occassion.
In saying this, when i attended the focus group is was professionally conducted and the staff were friendly.
I received a cash payment upon completion.
I shall still continue to be a member of this program, as I am hopeful of being invited and selected to attend more focus groups in the future.
Thank you for sharing your experience. You just encouraged me to join this site...xoxo
to me this market research company isn't as good as some of the others. i dont received as many offers to participate in market research as some of the others. still pretty good though
I am a participant of this Market Research company and the get involved in some really unique product and research and the testing products is good fun.
This is a great Market Research company that I have been with for a few years now. There is sometimes quite a stretch between research opportunities but it is well worth the incentives.
Hi Hue-chin. Thanks for your feedback.
Although we love a good joke here at RTR and think we are pretty funny, I can assure you that we definitely book real people for real sessions from our surveys.
Its quite a task for our Project Managers to find the perfect mix of participants that our clients request.
At the beginning of each project, we are provided with an extremely detailed brief by the client in order to find the most suitable candidate for their research project. Sometimes they are looking for people who use their product; sometimes for people who have never used their product; sometimes for people who occasionally use their product and so on!

In order to minimise any disruption to you, we do try and keep our survey time down to a minimum and sometimes we need to ask very specific questions that may disqualify you before completion stage.
We are currently working on a number of new initiatives to try to improve the very disappointment you have mentioned. Im sorry we havent been able to roll these out in time to be able to improve the experience for you.
That said, I will pass on your feedback to our director.
Thanks again,
Jemma & the RTR Team
