went here to see wicked, great seating was slanted so heads weren't in the way, ceilings were high and opulent and their toilets were absolutely beautiful (i'm not even kidding)

during the interval they had a stall selling wicked merchandise, which was quite nifty as well

location's convenient at heart of cbd, hard to find a park sometimes though, especially if something popular's on

Every time I go to this theatre, it blows me away. Such an old ornate and beautiful building, kept in it's original state - or as close as possible after fires etc. The box office are very helpful and very knowledgeable about the shows they have on.

This theatre is a lovely old theatre with comfy seats. My family and I were very fortunate to go to the behind the scenes of the Lion King when it was in Melbourne. Fantastic. I wish at the time I had enough money to actually see if live.

The Regent Theatre is a lovely old theatre located on Melbourne's premier street and has a capacity of more than 2000 seats.

The venue itself is great. My husband and I went to see Andrew Lloyd Webber's impressive musical “Love never dies” last year, which continues the story of “The Phantom of the Opera”. We really enjoyed our visit as the seats have been spacious and very comfortable and the performance exceeded all expectations. Visibility was pretty good as well.

Next year Regent will see the world premiere of the musical “King Kong”. So, if you are a musical lover, just go and get yourself a very special theatrical experience!

Approximate cost: $AUD 150 per ticket
