Six of us had lunch here on quite a hot day. We were happy to find seating outside that allowed us to enjoy the weather without being too hot.
All our meals were satisfactory, two of our party have Coeliac, and there were some good gluten free options.
I had the grilled chicken salad, nothing special but perfectly satisfactory. My niece had the caesar salad and commented on how good it was.
I'd happily go back. I wish the "overall" rating of this site for three stars said, "satisfactory, as expected," as the other three star ratings above it do, as I would class our overall experience at Rendezvous as "satisfactory, as expected".

Approximate cost: $15

Overpriced and no service. There is no table service here which annoys me to no end, just a way to cut costs I guess. No bananas for any smoothies. The nachos where $15, warm and soggy! Dry Turkish breads and in fillings. Unfortunately for them this could be a booming business but not with the currently quality of food.

Approximate cost: $14

this is a beaut clean cafe in middle of Salamanca Square. sit inside or out-plenty of tables to choose from. i particularly like to indulge in their all day breakfast when i visit the Salamanca Markets. eggs,bacon,toast-cooked well and is a hearty meal to start you at the markets.only $10 too-great value and the staff are always smiling. they regularly clear&clean the tables too.nice little pigeon friends pop around between your legs. always nice to sit outside and people watch! top your breaky off with a superb cappacino-$4 and your day is made.

Update 25/12/2010

Since writing this review I have been in contact with John, the manager of this establishment who invited me to give them another try. My wife & I popped in yesterday for breakfast, and met John.

During my conversation with John, we discussed the events of my last review and he assured me that it was the exception rather than the norm.

The staff member whom I was unfortunate enough to encounter on my first visit back in October has since left the business, and the staff and level of service my wife and I encountered before making myself known to John was streets ahead of my previous experience. Efficient, friendly and courteous, it was everything that excellent service should be.

I went for the scrambled eggs and my wife had a ham & cheese croissant and both were fantastic, particularly the relish that came with the eggs.

After meeting with us, John also insisted on refunding what we had paid for our meal, but based on the experience we had yesterday, I will happily return and have revised my ratings accordingly.

I would also like to thank John for taking the time to contact me via WOMOW to try to put right the negative impression I initially had of this establishment.

I stopped in here for breakfast a few weeks back and to be honest I probably won't be heading back in a hurry.

I ordered a coffee and Eggs Benedict which was reasonably priced but I must say it's the first time I've ever had Eggs Benny consisting of Fried eggs with a hollandaise sauce. Not a big fan of it I've gotta say.

The service was pretty poor too. It was early, just on opening, and as I sat down to await my breakfast, a group of Asian tourists approached which drew a disparaging remark from the waitress. When the food was delivered to me it was just plonked on the opposite side of the table to where I was seated, presumably because this made it more convenient to then deliver a coffee to the next customer.

All in all, I would advise anyone looking for an enjoyable breakfast to head somewhere else.

I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU AT ALL

We have two asian chefs, all staff are trained to serve food correctly.

The Eggs Benedict is sunny side up, as we do not have room " SALFTY REASONS " for boiling water
as our kitchen is to small and we do the best we can

We can serve up to 400/450 meals per day and have 19 staff members trained by me.

I challenge you to contact me and identify the staff member if you have the guts, which I do not believe you have.

After contacting Sparkesy I made a mistake thinking it was on the date posted having three of the best staff on roster that day.

I have since found out it was on 25/10/2010 at 7:30am now knowing the staff member.

This staff member has since been removed and I have apologise to Sparkesy for poor service and have invited him to have breakfast this Friday.
