It was a good venue for Randwick. The chef Kemp has been trying hard for many years. Very sad to know that they have to foreclose. Another good restaurant victim of the restaurants bad economy.

One of the best value hatted restaurants in Sydney. Food and service was superb, definitely will be back
Phenomenal food, exceptional wine list and faultless service. You must have the degustation for the complete experience. Cosy atmosphere and much more consistent and considerate than certain fine dining establishments in the city who charge much more, so in my opinion Balzac is very good value.
Approximate cost: $40
went there for a family do. good food and everything but a little over priced. the lobster bisque is too DIE FOR.. yummy
The actual restaurant itself is beautiful and cosy. The food is exceptional, prices are a bit on the expensive side but the food is worth it! They also have a degustation night once a month.

Did the $55 out before 8 pre- theater deal.
Service is excellent, it is very cosy, well isolated from street noise. The food was great, we had: risotto and rump, salad and potatoes
Restaurant Balzac is housed in a graceful historical two-story sandstone building; a perfect setting for Kemp's elegant cuisine, which combines old-fashioned British comfort food with classic French techniques and innovative modern twists.
