We used to go as a family regularly, not much has changed but it's still the same great service and food. Very family friendly. We also love that the owner is always there working and making sure everything is running smoothly. A fantastic place for a function.

very modern classy place to have a meal or just enjoy a few drinks can dine inside or outside with a great range to choose from off menu also a neat and clean venue through out have had many a drink here after work when of night shift as this venue use to stay open quiet late not sure if still does also they have some poker machines inside and i have had many a good win here very relaxing place to enjoy a few drinks at and great friendly customer service as well is provided one of the better pubs in bendigo and i have alwasy enjoy my time here also they have a great bottle shop as well

the rising sun is a bit pricy but it is a very modern place to eat and has a very nice menu with good food and friendly staff. i will definitely go back. i love the parma there, a classic but pulled off so well!

Modern, clean, brightly decorated, comfortable dining area with tables and a large sofa on one wall. Great selection on the menu, you just have to get up to order your meal and then it will be brought to you, which I think takes away that old fashioned customer service of eating at a pub and having your order taken at the table. Very nice meals but a bit on the expensive side. Not very child friendly as there is no play area for them and dining area would be noisy with a few kids in there

I can't say I was impressed the meal was averavge, the place was clean but I didnt like to feel of it for some reason and I could hear the pokie's I do hate that so that might be why. The kids didn't eat all of their and I felt a bit ripped off for that as they normally do.
Being new in town at the time, we wanted to try out a few different place's.

Nice bistro with well cooked main meals and desserts. The grilled chicken with avocado was delicious and well presented. Staff friendly, good location, the atmosphere seemed to be for older people - it felt like a seniors bistro.

Great smaller venue for meals or gambling. Staff very friendly and helpful, clean and tidy both inside and out. Pokie payouts better than most other venues.
