I often pass this restaurant and don't see many people inside. I first noticed it while I was sitting at a cafe (one of my favourite) a few doors down, and my dad saw the huge Yum Cha sign (he being a fellow yum cha freak). We wondered over and took a look at the menu and pricing posted outside the door. In big letters it said "Yum Cha $15.80 cash, all you can eat". Our jaws hit the floor. Even if the food here was average, $15.80 is still worth it. Also written on the window "get in fast to avoid the queue". I had a chuckle at that. So we decided to head back in the next weekend and give this thing a go. Walked up to the door at about 11:30, you know, to avoid the queue. There was no queue, in fact there was no customers there at all. I had a chuckle. We were given a menu to tick of the dishes we wanted, and the waiter (very friendly) informed us that if we wanted more after the first 'round' we could get a another page. But I think they are wise to the fact that peoples appetites are not to be trusted. We were starving so we ticked quite a number of things off the list. The first dish came out surprisingly fast, Singapore noodles, not a common yum cha item but my goodness, it was quite good. Then at about 8 minute intervals each dish came out 2 or 3 at a time. Everything was delicious, we found ourselves comparing to dragon boat and west lake in the CBD. Although obviously not AS high quality as those, the price of $15.80 could not be looked past. This place has excellent value for money and very decent quality. I would recommend to anyone. Yum Cha on weekends only, and a set standalone menu. You will pay a few dollars more if you use credit card. I have not tried any other dishes as yet, but after eating what we could of the first 'round' of ordering, we were in the foetal position from being so full. I'll be back for more.

Approximate cost: $15.80

I was walking past this place after my gym class and was hungry so decided to stop and look at the menu. I saw they had 500 gram BBQ pork at $12.80 and thought it's quite cheap. Ordered that to go with my leftover rice at home. The boss who served me was friendly. When I got home I was quite surprised at how generous the serving was. Took me 3 days to finish the whole thing. The BBQ pork was tasty and not dry at all.

Approximate cost: $13

This is the nearest Chinese BBQ place to my home. They do the usual range of Chinese food as well as roast duck, roast pork and bbq pork. Sometimes I get that craving for crispy skin roast pork and nothing else will do. I find that the quality of the roast pork varies. The first time I ate here it was pretty good, the last time a lot of it was burnt and mostly dry and tough. (cost of dish - $9) I would suggest to check the pork hanging in the window prior to ordering to see if it isn't burnt and looks fresh. I did try the roast duck here and while the skin was tasty the rest of the duck had an odd taste which I wouldn't recommend. I have had better roast pork from China Bar in the CBD so I won't be planning to get it from here again. Their a la carte menu might be better I suspect.

Fried noodle dishes and rice dishes approx $11. Beef and chicken dishes start at $13.80. Seafood around $17 - $20.

There is a popular all-you-can-eat Yum Cha on Saturday and Sunday 11am-3pm; $15.80 per adult and $11.80 kids age 11 and under. (Minimum 2 persons on Saturday and Sunday only).

Credit card payment attracts a surcharge. Home delivery available 5.30pm-9.30pm with $3.50 delivery charge, min order value $30. Closed on Mondays. Open for lunch 11 - 3pm, then open for dinner 5pm.

Approximate cost: $10-$13
