Great Pad Thai and service except that I had to leave the restaurant and find ATM to pay cash, after being told by staff (after my food was ordered and on its way) EFTPOS not working.

Approximate cost: $20

Fabulous little restaurant, great for a quick meal or catch up with friends. Prices are very affordable, full of flavour, quality meals. Never been disappointed.

Some of the dishes here are more expensive than other Thai restaurants. The service was very slow even though there weren't many customers that night. The food was very good.

Keeping up the good food at affordable prices.
Come here for decent Asian meals, but don't expect to be swept off your feet. But for the price point, it's pretty good

For a quick and simple Asian meal place, this place doesn't disappoint. The meals are quick and simple and good enough. You wish they had a little more opulent interior as it's in a decent location. Makes the place feel a bit cheap.
But it's all functional and serviceable.

Yum! That about covers it. This place serves up some delicious decent food and is priced very reasonably.

We usually start with salt and pepper squid and chicken satay skewers for entrees. I recently tried the sizzling mongolian lamb for mains and my girlfriend tried the sizzling chicken. Absolutely delicious, full of flavour and the meat was so tender. As usual we finished off sharing a dessert - banana fritter and ice-cream.

Staff are always friendly and prompt with service, a nice relaxing restaurant serving some delicious food.

What can I say. Visited here on Monday 29 December for the first time after visiting someone at RAH.
Although they forgot our entrees, we reminded them after finishing the mains and was well worth the wait and also the only reason they don't get any 5 stars.
Taken to our table by lovely young lady who later took our order of pandan chicken and vietnamese cold rolls. Approved of the chicken not the rolls.
And tried to order 2 Japanese Udon.
This young waitress knew her stuff and encouraged us to try the Rundle Noodle as well as the Japanese Udon. i.e share.
5 mins later got our mains. She wasn't wrong. Both dishes were flavoursome and to die for.
Eat the Rundle Noodle although mild, still full of punch first and finish off with the Japanese Udon which was gorgeously mild and apart from udon noodles and bok choy had 2 mussels, 2 scallops, 2 prawns, 4 pieces of squid and egg. I know egg not mentioned in the menu and as big brother is allergic, I ate the egg bits, it was gorgeous.
As I mentioned we ate entree as main and the pandan chicken was the best I have ever tasted and I've tasted quite a few.
Don't order the cold rolls unless you enjoy bland.
We have already decided what we are having on our next visit which is substituting the satay chicken for the cold rolls and vietnamese minced pork noodles for the rundle noodles. Both VERY acceptable substitutes according to our waitress.
Including soft 3 soft drinks, I paid about $60. Excellent value as far as we were concerned. Keep it up guys

January 14 2014. Captain's Log
For lunch, we dined at this place called Spices. It was on a street commonly known to locals at Rundle Street. Quite unassuming.
It was a fairly warm day, being the middle of summer and they had their doors wide open. They could have used a bit more of the ole air conditioning. However, works for some people.

The meals here were quickly prepared and quite the norm for a Westernised Chinese cafe. Nothing wrong with a bit of good slightly greasy Chinese food. Nothing amiss.

The patrons of this establishment seemed happy to be dining and the hosts watched with little attention as we devoured our rations. However, they were happy to receive the small fee they charged for these meals.

Shall we come upon this street again in our travels, I'm sure I shall keep an eye out for this shop.

Approximate cost: $inexp

Not a big restaurant but the atmosphere is quite nice. I went their with a few friends for dinner, ordered sizzling beef and green curry. Both dishes tasted good and the quantity was good too. Friend ordered a glass of wine, there are many to choose from. Service is average.

Having to eat their lunch specials at least once in a while makes me crave their seafood laksa. Have a try! Its worthwhile. The environment and service is great and definitely affordable.

Approximate cost: $9.90
