It's great, so big and pools of all sizes. Even a great slides for kids to play, not your avg pool.

Approximate cost: $10

I am rating this place according to my visits here when using the hydrotherapy pool area. I can't give my input for the other pool areas.

Staff are nice however concerns have been raised without much being done about it.
The water in the last month or so (three months as of November 2013) has been lukewarm which is not cold but it isn't as warm as it is supposed to be. Sure your thermometer says 32 degrees but get in and stay in the water for over 10 minutes in all areas of pool, not just the edges of the pool and see how cool it is. No matter how many times everyone says it isn't warm or hot, staff say we are wrong.
The change rooms for the females near the hydro pool is freezing and always have been. I, and others wonder if there is air conditioning coming through. When you walk in it feels like your are inside a fridge. Not a good combination if you have just come out of the pool.
The floor always used to be covered with 2 centimetres of water in the whole change room. Still is too wet but not quite as bad.
The shower area is very big for one person to have a shower in. It does have two showers but no privacy if two strangers were using each at the same time.
The other pools and areas are maintained and people thoroughly enjoy coming here.

I'd downgrade it to two stars now. Still same issues after three months.

How does it compare to Olympic Park Aquatic Center? That has a water slide as well.

cannot say as on both occasions the line for the slide has been too long

we have since been a few times and my kids keep asking to return to Ryde pools, they seem to enjoy the slide better at Ryde than Olympic Park, they have said that the slide is faster

Great aquatic center in Ryde that is quite large and offers everything from sport programs, b'day parties and swimming lessons. They have a slide, 2 whirlpools, kids wading pool and indoor/outdoor seating as well as a cafe (pricey). The swimming lessons for kids that a run during the week can make the place very noisy and they have surfing Sundays when the large pool creates waves. Parking is quite good, but sometimes hard to find on busy days. They also cater for special needs swimming lessons which were fantastic.
