I have had my cars serviced by Stewart for many years. I have never had a drama with any if the work at SR Automotive.
I'd recommend SR Automotive to anyone looking for an experienced, (apparently around 50 years) mechanic.

Approximate cost: $320

We have been going to this mechanic for years, as my husband believed he was the best. When our car broke down AGAIN in the middle of nowhere after we had just paid over $700 for a service, I was livid. My husband took it back to this same mechanic and he assured us it was an easy fix and would cost a couple of hundred dollars. I took him 8 days to fix. it and the total bill was $585 - is not a couple of hundred dollars. I took a look at the bill and he charges $100 an hour for labour. Never going back again!!!!

Hi Marilynnd,

We are sorry to hear about the appalling level of service that you have experienced at the hands of the afore-mentioned mechanic. Unfortunately, we too have had our own difficulties (with mechanics) and their ‘sub-standard’ work. Indeed, the industry appears rife with such operators and it seems as though very little is being done about it.

Irrespective of this, we hope you are able to locate an honest and decent replacement.

I was finding it hard to find a decent mechanic. Stewart at SR Automotive was highly recommended to me and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The car is tuned beautifully and the personal service was perfect. Stewart personally picked me up when my car was ready.
