First time back at sailors rest since renovation.
The building is stunning.
Tables indoors and outdoors.
Upstairs outdoors has fantastic views.
The calamari salad was a great size and cooked well.
Poached eggs cooked well
Shame sourdough toast was thin and no butter.

The seafood here is very fresh and delicious. The staff are also friendly and try their best to make you have a pleasant experience. The view was also amazing. The only negative is the inside of the restaurant, which is quite small.

Food was good and large servings, great coffee too. However, I find it annoying they don’t swap items on the menu. It doesn’t suit dietary requirements and you end up paying more.

Breakfast was great and big serves. The service was fine. It was a little unreasonable that they wouldn’t switch same prices items in their set dishes, and our table was wobbly

We loved our first experience dining at this restaurant! We ordered Squid as entree, then Fisherman’s Basket & Spaghetti alle Vongole. All for $74. We’ll be back for more when we visit Geelong again.

we went here for breakfast last week the food was absolutely amazing and great value for the price,its in a beautiful location along the waterfront with lovely views ,the service was fantastic

havent been here for a while but from memory the food was always very nice as were the staff. cant complain about pricing either. all in all its a great experience

Sailors Rest is in a great position with a fab view of Geelong's Waterfront. I have been here more than once for both breakfast and dinner and found them both to be yummy and enjoyable. The first time I had their Risotto which was perfect, not too dry. On my second visit I experienced the Seafood Fettucine and would get both dishes again.
The time I went for breakfast was actually on my birthday and I am glad I chose Sailors Rest, on this visit i tucked into the pancakes.
They offer gift vouchers and I recently got one for my grandparents so they can check out this fine establishment.

Quite a great place for afternoon tea, but was not a fan of there meals, expensive meals for little serves not impressed! The afternoon tea used to be a lot better when you could get scones and cream but dont do it anymore very bad mistake there!

Enjoyed afternoon tea here, with a small group of friends. The service was excellent, the coffee was good and there was an interesting and enticing selection of cakes and muffins. I enjoyed a latte, which they did serve hot, as requested and a Harvest muffin (?). It was nice to be able to buy a cake/muffin that was not super sweet. The Sailors Rest is a nice place to go, as you can sit and watch the activity along the waterfront. The only drawback I found that it was extremely noisy, while it was busy. I'm not sure of the cost, as I was 'shouted' and didn't pay.
