This review is for La Campagnola Pizzeria, Newtown VIC

Have been going to La Campagnola for years and have always found they make great pizzas. The thing that sets them apart from many other pizza places is that they are always generous with the toppings. My favourite would have to be the Chefs special as it is always covered with ham, hot salami, mushrooms, onion, capsicum and cheese. My family also love the BBQ chicken and the Vegetarian. I also like the fact that you can order on line and then just pick it up when it's ready, sure beats sitting in the pizza shop waiting when it's busy. It's quite a cheap family meal as they have a special, 2 family pizzas for about $32.

Great Fish and Chip shop, they never fail to produce great chips, crispy on the outside, just the way our family like them. I have always found their servings very generous and on our last visit they made a point of giving us an extra piece of fish (for free) as they thought the fish pieces were a bit smaller than normal. Their food is cooked while you wait, so it is always hot and crispy, but if you're in a hurry you can phone ahead and place your order ready for pick up.

This review is for Sawyers Arms Tavern Bistro, Newtown VIC

Enjoyed a girls night out recently at the Sawyers Arms Tavern Bistro and was quite impressed by the menu and meal presentation. I ordered the duck on a bed of kiplers and greens, which was very flavoursome, but unfortunately the marinade had burnt a bit in places and this did spoil it a bit. Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their meals and we did find the service and atmosphere quite good, Price wise, a bit on the expensive side.

Approximate cost: $28-$38

This bakery never lets me down, the pies and sausage rolls are always fresh and tasty and I think they make the best vanilla slice in Geelong. I visited it again recently with my sister and thoroughly enjoyed my special occasional treat, that is, a calorie packed, tasty meat pie, a delicious vanilla slice and a latte. The coffee is pretty ordinary, but that is made up for by the great range of cakes and slices. The eat in section is the basic table and chairs, but the do bring your coffee to the table. and put your pie, etc on a plate.

I had heard good things about the coffee at this place, but I found the coffee much the same as most other cafes or maybe I'm just not a coffee connoisseur. The cake I had was also quite standard fare and nothing to get excited about. The outdoor area was a pleasant place to sit with friends on a nice sunny day. Overall it was OK, but doesn't stand out in any way from most other cafes of this type.

This review is for El Toro Pizza Resturant, Geelong VIC

Was invited to the El Toro Italian restaurant by some friends and shared a couple of large pizzas. All our party enjoyed sharing a meditarian supreme and a home special. Both pizzas had nice thin crusty bases and a good amount of fresh toppings. Dessert was an oversized slice of delicious tiamusi cake, The restaurant itself is quite largeand has a pleasant atmosphere. My only complaint would be thatcher tables are too small making it a bit of a juggling act to share pizzas.

This review is for North West Airconditioning, North Geelong VIC

Used this air conditioning company to install a split system air conditioner in a rental property. They provided us with a quote quite quickly and as their quote was competitive, they were given the job. The job was done quite quickly, with no significant wait time between giving the Ok for the job and job completion. We have not had any issues with the quality of the work and the unit is functioning as expected.

This review is for Fig And Vine Deli Cafe, East Geelong VIC

Went to this cafe recently to meet friends for a coffee. It is a tiny little cafe, so it is not really a good place to just turn up to with a small group. We were lucky however and managed to get the last available table. The coffee was standard cafe style and was served fairly quickly. The variety of food available is limited but provided adequate variety and choice. All 4 members of our group enjoyed their food which ranged from coffee and cake to a chicken salad wrap. The cake and coffee I ordered were both pretty standard cafe fare, which I enjoyed. This place is also a deli, but I didn't really check out what was available.

This review is for Schnitz, Melbourne VIC

Discovered this place one day while visiting Melbourne and was pleasantly surprised by the food. I only wanted a light meal, so was very happy to discover their Mini bite Schnitzel. It fulfilled my craving for a warm light meal perfectly and despite it's name, is not too mini. They also served a good coffee and I thought at $10:40 for the Schnitzel and a latte mug, was quite reasonable. I also liked the atmosphere, as sitting outside was quite pleasant and it wasn't crowded.

This review is for Cafe Rojo, Docklands VIC

Tried this cafe while waiting for the next train and was quite impressed with the variety and price of the food available. After much debate I settled on the a flourless lemon or orange poppyseed cake and a skinny latte. Must say the cake was delicious, one of the best cafe cakes I've had in quite awhile. The service was quite quick and the lady who served me, did so with a smile. The cafe is in a small food court, so of course the environment is pretty average.
