Great fast service for our dog Ralph. Excellent result. Thomas was great with Ralph and very affordable. Highly recommend!

[redacted due to personal identifier] clipped my dog with a perfectly satisfactory result (very short all over) last year. She was however absolutely terrified when she emerged from his yard - wriggling and whimpering. She is a very submissive, gentle dog. This time I asked [redacted due to personal identifier] if I could see the place where he clips the dogs - he always comes out the front to collect them so you can't see the work area or where they are kept. I wanted to reassure myself that my dog had nothing to fear. At this request his manner changed from very charming and friendly to upset and defensive. Out of the blue he suggested I take my dog elsewhere (not feasible at short notice) and refused to let me see the work area. I explained that my dog gets terrified and it makes me worry and I would worry less if I could picture where she is groomed. He said that he loves dogs and had been doing this for years and it was about trust. I wonder why he expects clients to trust a stranger, especially when they behave like this. Having previously felt OK about [redacted due to personal identifier], I am now wondering what does he have to hide? If he loves dogs, why was my request so offensive to him? I won't be going back.

I would not recommend this place. You definitely get what you pay for and this cheap option for a groomer comes with plenty of disadvantages. Not only that there are not EFPOS facilities, that you can live with but to drop your beautiful dog to be groomed only to pick him up looking like a poor version of itself is extremely disappointing. I provided very clear instruction regarding what we need: don't cut too much hair as my dog is old and his fur is thinning, leave it long at the top and only cut the ending of the ears. In other words, a trim for a poodle. Mr. Kim should not do anything but simple cuts. When I called him to complain about the disastrous haircut, Mr Kim, perhaps knowing the terrible job he has done, told me not to pay. And then he said my dog, who is famous for his docile nature, had tried to bite him. Perhaps Simon knew the terrible job Mr Kim was doing on him. If you need your dog nicely groomed, this is NOT the place for you

My labradoodle is groomed by Thomas at Salon Pooch. Highly recommended. He does a great job and is very gentle with my dog.

Thomas is awesome and extremely good value. I've taken my friends 2 little dogs to him, the Chihuahua got the works & loved it & then other little one who's an extremely nervous & scared miniature fox terrier x has had her nails done twice with him & he's so gentle but very sure when dealing with her that now their owner won't go anywhere else.
Once Thomas has treated your fur baby I'd be surprised if you used anyone else afterwards, in my opinion he's that good!!

Thomas is lovely and clearly loves dogs. My Shih-Tzu x Maltese is extremely nervous but he handles her with the greatest ease & care. Great value for money!

Thomas the dog groomer is good value for my small maltese X. He is usually very busy but is very accomodating about fitting you in when convenient. He is patient and understands dogs well. Price has not risen in 8 years.
