A lovely indoor and outdoor setting for breakfast or lunch.
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Allowed us breakfast when just outside breakfast serving times.
Arrived at a busy time and appeared to be understaffed also.
Smashed avocado with poached eggs and feta on sourdough was tasty.
The serve was not big and 2 slices of bread would have been better.
Also unfortunately 1 of the eggs was more hard boiled than poached. The other was perfect and runny.
A tasty meal in a relaxed setting .

Went there for dinner Saturday night. What an experience. The food was amazing, the service outstanding and the atmosphere terrific. Will definitely be going there again

Enjoyed a meal here recently with friends. The food was well presented and very tasty. I enjoyed the lamb and chickpea (something), served with cous cous and yoghurt, as well as a lovely sticky date with toffee/caramel sauce. I felt it did become expensive though, if you wanted a salad or something to go with your meal. My friend had the steak which although very tasty and well presented was only served on a bed of mashed potato and caramelized onions. Salad was extra. We visited at night time and it was a very quiet night with very few customers, but as a consequence with were looked after very well.

On a day when it was terrible weather outside and the wind was doing crazy things I had my first experience of the Sandstone Cafe. I arrived just in time to still be able to order a "breakfast" meal which was tasty. The only downside was a terrible smell in the cafe on the day I was there (not sure what was going on there and the friend I was with hadn't experienced it on her previous visits)

I enjoyed the Vegetarian big breakfast, 2 eggs, tomato, spinach, mushrooms, baked beans sourdough toast. However they cater for all tastes. Healthy meals. Thai vegetable curry is divine also. Enjoyable atmosphere and happy, friendly staff. Highly recommended. Would like to see some vegan options labeled on menu. however highly recommended.

Good meals & service with fresh ingredients & a nice atmosphere, the menu caters for all tastes & they have some wonderful home made cakes that you can enjoy a slice of with your tea or coffee. The staff are friendly & are professional.
