My daughter attends Sarah's Place and I've been really happy with it, it's a fantastic place. It's a smaller centre in a beautiful Federation-style cottage which feels more like a home, one that's filled with lots of toys and children! The educators are all wonderful people, very friendly and welcoming. The staff retention seems really good, I always see the same educators, so you get to know them, and they know all the parents and children very well. You can tell they genuinely care about the children. They went above and beyond to help my daughter settle in, and they provide quality care for all the children each and every day. It's more like she's going to spend the day with extended family rather than at a childcare centre. They provide healthy, freshly-cooked meals. The place is always clean. They have an outdoor backyard area which the children love running around and playing in, complete with sandpits, toys, obstacle courses etc. My daughter has a delightful time there, and I would definitely recommend Sarah's Place to anyone looking for quality childcare.

Sarah’s Place is a wonderful daycare and the staff are very caring and nurturing. The small size is definitely a positive, allowing the children to connect with all of the staff. My youngest son has been attending since he was 9 months old. It was so difficult to leave him but I had every confidence that he was in the best possible care. He is now 3 and when I collect him at the end of the day he tells me ‘ I had a lovely day today!’ What more could I want. Communication from the staff is great and the Director is excellent. Would highly recommend.

A small centre, where the carers range from fantastic to sometimes grumpy and un-communicative. It caters for babies through to five year olds and serves reasonable, healthy meals throughout the day. It is not a pre-school and in my opinion the programming limitations reflect this particularly for children getting ready for school . The facilities are a bit cramped but clean and well maintained.

I've had two children at Sarah's Place over the years and the experience has been mixed. It is a small centre which is good in a lot of ways meaning the children are known by all the carers. The downside is sometimes children are not able to move in a timely fashion between the different rooms, I know several children who spent almost an extra year in the babies room - not great for development. There is a fair amount of staff turn-over and some carers are pleasant and motivated others are very average. The premises are quite small and the toilets look directly at the eating area! I would recommend a properly accredited centre for the year before school, the social elements are covered at Sarah's Place but nothing more.

the childcare workers did not seem to be enthusiastic about work - the children. They seem to be more concerned about following the check list of tasks than to focus on the children. The meals for children were healthy though - low in sugar and salt and not often dessert
