The hunt for decent Thai food in the area continues. I was very disappointed with the food here, two supposedly different dishes were basically the same version of "Asian Bland" served up with very slightly different ingredients (one with Lemon Grass, One with Ginger). Prices on the high side for the quality, decor basic, no ambiance, quick service and easy to park though but wont bother again.

Approximate cost: $40

This restaurant is a little different to the other Thai restaurant nearby (Phayathai) in two ways. Firstly, the cuisine is more focussed on spicier items such as Chili beef salad. Such items are excellent standard. The coconut milk curries are less of a specialty here.
Secondly, they also feature non-Thai items such as a range of quality European cakes. THis is not a place to go if you want a Paenang or Massaman curry but what they do offer is good.

Great little Thai restaurant on Canterbury road. The food is a couple of notches above your average thai fare and is served by lovely thai waitresses in traditional dress. Try the Hor Mok Gai - a really delicate delicious steamed chicken curry.

The place operates as a cafe during the day and does nice coffee and cake as well as the delicious thai lunch menu.

They also do a roaring takeaway business at night.

Really really yummy and very cheap. I really recommend this place!

Approximate cost: $12.50
