Had a ducted r/c aircon installed in our new house. The return grills were not aligned together and I was told it was because there was a beam in the way in the roof space and the installer had done the best he could. Hubby asked to be shown the problem and there was no beam in the way. The return grills are now aligned together. Also had vents in one room aligned unequally. Again told it was best that could be done and after hubby asked to be shown the cause of the problem in the roof space it turned out that there was no reason for the issue and the vent in question was relocated to a more equal position. Had to hire and pay for a plasterer afterwards to repair the hole left in the ceiling and a painter to repaint the entire ceiling due to the noticable area. Outdoor unit was not placed centrally on the concrete slab made especially for it, instead placed askew to one side.
