I would recommend visitors to stay in this hotel when visiting York. Most of the rooms are newly renovated. It is pretty basic, but new and clean and neat. The room we had was furnished with a double bed, flat screen tv, table, reverse cycle aircon, 2 chairs and the bathroom had a spa bath where you had to step into for a shower (not all rooms as some have shower cubicle instead of spa bath. There are upstairs and downstairs rooms but both seem fine as our friends had the downstairs one.

They do provide towels and soap but that is all. No shampoo, hairdryer, iron, or other amenities but no problem, just bring your own.

The girl working the reception and bar is super nice and friendly.
