This is a bit of a mixed review. I had a craving for Dosa (large flat pancake made of rice and black lentil flour) so I visited this restaurant with my partner. I had the Masala Dosa (curried potato inside the Dosa). I found it ok, nothing spectacular.

My partner had the non-vegetarian Thali, which I suggested based on online reviews. He totally didn't enjoy it. Two of the curries (dhal and butter chicken) were average, there was another meat curry (can't tell if it's beef or goat or lamb) that was totally tasteless and the meat was rubbery. There was also a very average mushroom and veg curry. The naan was ok and rice is standard but the poppadum was stale. He totally didn't enjoy his meal and said that it was the worst indian food he has had, ever!

We had a quick snack here yesterday (shared a fish and chip). It was pretty average fare, not bad, but functional. Drinks were surprisingly pocket-friendly, probably due to "happy hour" as we got there before 6pm? A small cider and a house red were only $10 in total. Wow! Best thing was the bartender even let my friend sample the cider before ordering and it was a generous pour.

I ordered the special of the day, which was tempura udon for $12. What a disappointment as there was inky I prawn in it, and it wasn't even tempura battered but breaded. it came with some slices of sweet tofu and fish cake. Basically low value for money. It's a shame as the broth was actually alright. service was abrupt and unfriendly,

Had an early breakfast here so choices were limited to toast, banana bread, roti canai and murtabak. Had a malaysian style coffee with condensed milk, and shared a toasted banana bread and murtabak. Generally ok but the murtabak was super tiny for $9 so I cannot ever recommend it.

let me start by saying that the service provided by the two girls at the kiosk was shockingly bad. I was ignored not by one, but two if them until I called one of them out on it.

That was a pity as it affected my enjoyment of the 2 macaroons a tried - skated popcorn and lime and mandarin, $2.50 each.

A pity that Adriano built such a strong brand but didn't pay attention to the hiring of quality staff.

Never again.

I had been wanting to dine here since seeing the chef Colin Fassnidge on TV. When I got the chance, I jumped at it. We shared the 12 hour shoulder of lamb served with mint and pea brith, some colourful rhubarbs and greens, fennel and pea salad and colcannon. It's a meal designed for 2 people and costs $89, and it was delicious. Meat was fall off the bone tender. Flavoursome meal.

Had lunch at Din Dai Fung at level 5 food court at Westfield. The food court was generally crowded and there was a small queue to order at DDF. But it was not a long wait at all as everyone had to fill out an order form before approaching the counter. After ordering you are given a beeper while you waited at your seat.

We shared a basket of xiao long bao (soup dumpling) and green beans with mince meat. Dumplings were ok but not the best I had tasted, but long beans sensational. We also had a bowl of noodles each, one soup and one dry. Both were ok, but nothing too fantastic.

Wow, we had a really lovely time here. The maître d lady was so welcoming and friendly. we had two entrees - fried calamari and fresh oyster and both were fresh and enjoyable. For mains, my partner had the beef cheeks and I had the barramundi and flavours were great and portion was generous. Dessert rounded up the meal very nicely.

Thumbs up

Stayed here for two nights. We arrived very early in the morning so we could not check official check in was 3pm. So we went walking around, though nothing much open at 7am. The hotel rang at about 12 noon to say we could check in, so that was nice.

Room was quite spacious, clean, neat, quite new, good sized bathroom, iron, hair dryer, toiletries like bath gel, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap and soap.

Service was good and location was great as it was close to the shopping areas.

We booked the Romance Package which came with $50 Westfield voucher, sparkling wine, choc truffles and buffet breakfast and also late check out.

Wonderful value. Would recommend.

Decided to give this place a go as I had a 25% discount voucher. Thank goodness we made a reservation as the place was packed and we had to wait to be seated. Noise level ws pretty high too.

We ordered two entrees, beef rolls(minced marinated beef wrapped around stick and grilled, and served with rice vermicelli, mint and bean shoots with dipping sauce), quite flavoursome, The other entree was stuffed chicken wings. It was ok.

For mains, we had white rice which came out a little gluggy, steamed barramundi with glass noodles and button mushrooms in a dark sauce, as well as crispy duck with plum sauce. Both were pretty ok and generously portioned, and duck very crispy.

After 25% off, it was $59, and we were very full. I would say that the menu or dishes are more of a Australian Chinese-Vietnamese hybrid, as it didn't have classics like phos, broken rice, etc.... I also think the prices are generally a bit higher than the average casual asian restaurant hut I liked the fact that it's byo wine.
