Fantastic place for a long black, coffee roasted and brewed well - with staff having great skill. Fast service for exceptional coffee.
Love Seven Seeds coffee. I haven't eaten here, and don't find myself in the area often, but when I do I love to run in for a quick coffee
Great decor. Food was varied and delicious. Decaf coffee was exceptional. Really happy with the experience. will come back
The cafe is very popular and they did well to get us seated very quickly. Food took a little longer than normal but was a big portion. Worth a visit
I love the big open space and vibrant vibe.
A place for great coffee and food at any time of the day. The only thing that disappointed was the wait to sit and also time for food to arrive.
very crowded place with a lot of customers, their coffee is just unexplained, no words describes it, you just got to try it out.
A very popular place.
It is always packed. On the weekends and even on weekdays (by virtue of being close to the university).
The coffee is excellent and the food equally good. Service is prompt despite the busy-ness.
I like how the menu has brunch options and a list of baguettes/rolls.
My first experience at Seven Seeds was on a cold winter morning, about 4 years ago when I hadn't even completed my VCE. Memories take me back to a cobblestone lane way quite narrow in size, barely able to fit a truck with the water trickling down its path. At first glance you see a simplistic light coloured wood facade with a table out front. There was something about its character, maybe the weather complimented its simplistic nature or maybe I was under the illusion I was in London. More to the point the experience was quite interesting as prior visiting this establishment I had never seen a converted warehouse rendered a cafe. Inside was a lively bunch. All eager to start the day with a punch. My friend insisted we try Seven Seeds for the fantastic coffee that they offer their patrons and my thirst needed quenching! Service was definitely satisfactory, nothing above normal to be frank. The character of staff was welcoming and our requests were made without hassle. To supplement the wait, Seven Seeds designates a particular room for take-away coffee waiters. You're essentially filtered through a small wooden box, once again simplistic in nature and are given a quick little peak at their coffee engineering room, where several blends of coffee are mixed together to make wonderful concoctions of their arsenal. On the wait newspapers are left aside so visitors can have a quick read before scurrying off with their coffee's. I indulged for a minute and our coffees were served. On stepping out of the establishment my take-away cup warms the hands, bringing some vitality to my morning. I open the lid and take a sip... (what happens after is simply delightful) now its your turn to experience, Seven Seeds!
Their coffee is sheer decadence, I don't go anywhere else in Carlton for my coffee.
Being a regular, I have experienced both sides of their service, and whilst never rude or unfriendly they can leave you standing at the register for a bit long.
I also am not too keen on the mass tables the place has, and how they cram strangers on the same table.
However it is a compromise I am willing to make for the best coffee in Melbourne, and some of the nicest breakfast options!
Approximate cost: $12-$18
Love their coffee. Really unique flavour. If you're a coffee lover, highly recommend checking out their cupping session on saturday morning.
ALways wanted to try their coffees but I heard the queue is always long
