I visited SEWCO, on the off chance that they may know where to get a clothsetter for an old embroidery machine. I was very quickly assured they will see what could be done. Thankyou so very much, I picked up the part today with smiles all round.
Beautiful ladies work there.
Will be back, telling everyone.

It's always both an inspiration and a pleasure to go to Sewco Sewing and Patchwork at Mt Gravatt. The first thing that hits you when you enter the store is the massive array of sewing, overlocking and embroidery machines down the centre of the store. As authorized dealers for Babylock, Bernina, Brother, Husqvarna Viking, Janome, Pfaff and Singer, they have an immense quantity of machines in stock. Unlike many other fabric stores they have lots of high end models on display. It's not unusual, therefore, to see an embroidery machine costing over $5,000.00. This doesn't mean that entry level mechanical machines aren't available as you'll always find a basic Janome for $299.00 or less.

At the rear of the store a variety of classes are being constantly held. Details of these are available from Sewco's website. I'm always pleased to see young people sewing there during school holidays. It goes to show that sewing isn't a dying art after all!

I love visiting Sewco - there is always something new to see and the staff greet me like an old friend they've been waiting to catch up with. Nothing is too much trouble no matter how trivial the query or the purchase. They are always my first "go to" shop when I'm looking for a particular item and usually my only shop as they have everything you need. If by chance they don't have an item, they'll order it for you! Top marks Sewco!

Amazing array of fabric and haberdashery (and more)- anything you need for for any kind of sewing. Staff are professional and very knowledgeable but make it feel like family. All of the atmosphere of an old-fashioned fabric store but with a wonderful modern twist. An absolute must visit store.

Great experience with help in choosing fabric and also with a huge range of sewing machines. More gadgetry for sewing than I have seen anywhere. Well worth a visit.

I have used this store for a few years now. Always have great service & are on the look-out for the latest products. Look after their return customers very well. They try to get to know you personally & cater for what you want. Their classes, both patchwork & sewing, are usually great value. The are great at communicating. They sell sewing machines for all levels.
