You pay for what you get, and in saying that $50 for an immaculate CND Shellac manicure by Andrea is not expensive compared to some of the shoddy jobs I have had done by other salons and paid more for. I have been seeing Andrea for my Shellac manicures now for a few months and always have my Shellac looking great even into the third week. I would definitely have to agree that for the best shellac nails "shellac manicure' in Melbourne you have to visit Andrea. From the look of these reviews I like many have been on a 'Shellac' journey. From damaged nails to the so called shellac flicking off within days. Now I know why this happened. I never actually have had 'Shellac' until my visit to Andrea. What everyone else is referring to as Shellac actually isn't. The bottles must say CND Shellac on them. This is not the name of a service, rather the name of the product. CND Shellac is a polish not a gel and should never damage your nails. Two Shellac manicures later my nails are stronger and Andrea's technique is perfection. My last Shellac manicure lasted 3.5 weeks and no chipsor peeling just regrowth. I overheard some ladies on the tram talking about their bad shellac manicures. I was quick to show them my shellac nails and point out that by the looks of it they did not have shellac on, rather opi gel, gelish or gelac which are not shellac but a gel and it is applied differently than shellac polish hence the peeling or damaged nails. I found them through a lady I stopped in the supermarket! I was admiring her nails and just had to ask where she had them done. I too, like many others that I had Shellac on only to be explained to that what other salons were referring to as Shellac was indeed not and are in fact products like opi gel or gelish which are NOT the same. Very misleading to say the least. Good news is that my nails now look as fabulous as the ladies that gave me Andrea's details and now Andrea has a client for life! If your nails are looking damaged perhaps you should take a closer look at what you are paying someone to apply to your nails.

In all the manicures I have ever had , this one by Andrea was by far the best! From the nail shape to the prepping and shellac polish application...perfection! Thank you Andrea for a professional job on my nails. They have never looked better and my shellac manicure has never lasted this long in the past. I have tried several salons in the past 4 months and I have been very unhappy with the results. Turn out that the 'shellac' manicure i was having was not shellac, rather opi gel and gelac which is not CND Shellac. All the others that salon are calling shellac are not. If the bottle does not say CND than it is NOT Shellac. My shellac now lasts up to 3 weeks and in the past i was lucky to get a few days. I visited Andrea 2 weeks ago thanks to her amazing reviews. After 5 failed attempts at getting a decent Shellac manicure I felt a little defeated. The last Shellac manicure I got at a reputable salon in the city cost me $95 and didn't last a week. I wanted to find someone that could do what CND Shellac polish promised....glossy, chip free nails for 2 weeks. I thought this impossible until I met Andrea. As soon as I met her I knew that I was in great hands. Looking around me I knew that Andrea was a professional. All the products had the CND logo on them just as I have been told they should meaning that I was going to finally have the authentic product and possibly my first real Shellac manicure. Andrea explained in great detail the products and the process. She also had the whole range of colours and was very capable at french which I have never seen before! Thanks to Andrea it's been just over two weeks and I can happily say that my Shellac manicure looks as flawless as the day that I had it applied.
