I took my car in to have its rear bumper replaced.
Monday - I took car in.
Friday - I receive call to say they have dropped and broken my tail light and they will have to call around to find a replacement. Told they will call me Saturday.
Saturday - I receive call to come get car. I send family to bring it to me. Tail light was broken and had been glued back together. The glue had dripped onto paintwork below the light. The light was not working at all. Scratch on new bumper above tow ball and bumper crooked. Called them immediately and was told manager was out and to bring it back in on Monday.
Monday - took car into them where mechanic connected the tail lights. Told they will call me when they have a replacement light. Noticed car was not driving well so took it to my own mechanic. Booked it for first availiable time which was following Monday. Took it home and let it sit at home for a week.
Following Monday - Mechanic found 2 inches of water in spark plug channels. When asked how water gets in there he asked if Sheperds washed the engine. I only knew answer to this as I had noticed a cars engine being washed when I took car back.
Monday Afternoon -took car to Sheperds to point out faults and ask about engine washing. Mechanic has assumed I was in to drop car off as they had tail light unfortunately for me the office girls failed to call to tell me that. Left car with them. was promised they would call the next day to let me know how it was going.
Tuesday no call from them when I rang I was told it would be ready Wednesday.
Wednesday - Received call to say they would drop it off to me in the afternoon but would call to let me know when they would be there.
Wednesday afternoon I receive call telling me that the boys were at my house where do they put the keys as I was out as they had failed to call me as promised. Bumper looked good Light was good. Paint still on ppaintwork below the light.
Thursday afternoon is first chance to drive car. Car is misfiring so badly I nearly dont make it to my mechanics. Im not sure how the people from Sheperds drove my car home without noticing how poorly it was driving. My mechanic again found 2 inches of water in spark plugs.

I will never be taking a car to Sheperds. I would suggest people check to make sure that the work that has been done is acceptable.

I used Shepherds over a year ago. The first and last time. I found the mechanic treated me like a a nobody. Being a woman it is hard enough to deal with car issues as I haven't a clue whats going on but also when dealing with men at these car places that think they are more superior. A smile wouldn't go astray either.

Our car had to pretty much have the head replaced in the engine which cost alot. Supposedly the cooling system was also repaired to prevent this recurring. A hose was not replaced causing leakage and we had to cancel our Xmas holiday, and got a very surley response when we called them on Xmas day, expecting to leave a message on an answering machine. The job was not done properly, and another mechnic suggested I take the car back to them. They checked and said it was fine. Just over a year later (out of warranty) the same problem occurred and cost another $2000 +. Apparently they didn't even replace the radiator, which was a big part of the problem. It was a very expensive lesson of where not to go.

Approximate cost: $2500.00
