Disappointing macaroon (apparently award winning or voted best or similar? )and overpriced chocolates. The staff is very friendly and helpful its only the chocolates, hot chocolate and coffee that are way overpriced and disappointing.

This is a great chocolate shop for a treat but is quite expensive even comparing it to other boutique chocolate shops/ cafes.

had a classic hot chocolate which was nice (better than average) but not outstanding for the price.

Nice interior and opens late a couple of nights a week which is a bit unusual for chocolate cafes.

I discovered Shocolate by purchasing a Scoopon voucher. Even though I frequent Brunswick Street regularly, I had never noticed it! The service was excellent on the evening I went with a friend and the chocolate goodies included on the voucher were delicious! I will definitely return and try some of the other things on their menu.

I first come to know of shocolate via scoopon, being a huge love of chocolate and having lots of friends where we have common interest in chocolate, we always find new places to go to indulge in our love. So my excitement when I could try a place for less than half the price and as I live in the area, this would be a handy place to discover. However work have taken me away for quite a few months last year, and my time to discover this little find would be during the xmas break. To my disappointment, when I wander to shocolate a number of times, it has been shut. When I tried calling the place, there have not been any answers, no indication of when the place would be re-open. I have tried calling every other day and when finally someone managed to answer the phone, the lady on the other line indicated that my voucher would be valid till 18th Feb (as it was expired on 2nd Jan). Yipee...my voucher is still valid. But as I wander in on one thursday nite after work, paying for a carpark, on 17th Feb...I was told that the voucher was only valid till 13th Feb, which is the wrong info the gal on the other line informed me. The pony tailed man on the other side of the counter refused my voucher indicating it's way invalid and that the website would have informed me of this. Alas, I did check the website to obtain the phone number, but never notice any information on the reopening date nor the vouchers validity.
I found this to be a disgrace that a voucher worth $10 would not be honoured when the wrong information was given to me in the first place or that it's only 4 days late. I am immersely disappointed that there are businesses out that that participated in the scoopon initiative but failed to honoured what the customer have purchased. Worst customer service ever!!!!!

What a great place. It is a small place with about 4 tables inside and about 6 outside on the verrandah. From the moment I walked in until I left the staff were very friendly and helpful. Prompt service. Their hot chocolates are delicious and hot. They have been rated as the best in Melbourne and I am pleased to say that it is one of the best I have ever tried. They are not too sweet and are quite filling. Their milk shakes also also devine. The chocolates taste like heaven and desserts look very appealing and are oh so good to eat. I love that fact that they have a window for customers to view the chocolatier at work making all those yummy chcolates that are proudly displayed in the glass cabinet.

Approximate cost: $8
