The food here is awesome - it's definitely the best pub food in Williamstown! The service here is friendly and accommodating. Wednesday night is $16 chicken parma night - absolutely delicious and so HUGE that two of us could have shared one serving and still felt full! Great food and atmosphere.

This is a wonderful place to spend time being pampered! You will have the entire place to yourself (unless you go with a friend and want to have a dual treatment) and although it's above a busy Japanese restaurant, it's peaceful and relaxing. Anne is lovely and friendly and the treatments are fantastic. I've had both a massage and a facial here now and thoroughly recommend the experience. The only thing I can fault about the service is that they can be a little difficult to get in touch with at short notice, but that aside, this is a fantastic place with Japanese style tranquility, at reasonable prices.

I purchased a daily deal to use at this salon for a massage, microdermabrasion, manicure and hair cut and colour. I do have to say that I was very happy with my hair cut and colour and the stylist was lovely, however the beauty part of it was not!

Firstly, the 45 minute massage and 1 hour facial took just under an hour to complete both! The massage was not bad, but my therapist was quite rough during the microdermabrasion and it was uncomfortable. I have had one before, so I know what it feels like! Lastly, the manicure which I can only describe as being quite painful! The therapist was rough and cut me. My finger was bleeding so much, she had to apply pressure to try to stop the bleeding. I would not recommend this place for beauty services.

If the review had been based on the hair experience alone, I would have given it 4 stars, however the beauty services deserve only 1 star, so I'm going up to 2 stars.

I had a 3 hour pamper package at Blissfully Bare, which included a massage, body wrap, facial, manicure and pedicure. The whole experience was wonderful! It wasn't the best massage I have ever had, however it was relaxing. The rest of the treatments were very good. The only thing that would stop me going back are the regular prices, which I think are quite expensive - $100 for a 1 hour massage (I would not pay this as it was not worth paying this amount!), and the average facial being around $145 for 1 hour. You can find these services elsewhere in this area for at least 20% less, for an equally lovely experience. If you don't mind paying these prices though, then it is a lovely place to go!
19/8/2011 Update - I'm changing this to 5 stars overall now, as I've been back here again and although the price is a little expensive, you get treated like a VIP here and the entire experience of being in this salon is just wonderful. If you join their mailing list, they seem to have specials quite often, so you can get an extra treatment thrown in for no additional cost (or whatever the particular special is at the time).

Jack & Daisy is still relatively new, but already has a loyal local following due to their great coffee, food and service. The coffee is excellent and there is a delicious looking array of home made cakes, muffins and various other goodies on display, plus a varied menu of tasty selections. The service here is what really makes Jack & Daisy special.....not only do these guys know all their regulars names and coffee orders - they even know their dogs names as well!! I've even gone in to have a coffee handed over to me as I walked in - as they saw me parking my car :-)

I've been here several times now. I've only eaten here twice, but have been here a few other times just to enjoy a glass of wine on the outside balcony in the summer. The location on the waterfront is beautiful. The food is divine and beautifully presented and is definitely the best I have found in Williamstown.

I went to JG Beauty as I had a voucher to use from there which included a 1 hour massage, 30 minute facial and a pedicure. I'm sorry I couldn't rate this salon higher, as my therapist was a lovely person, however my 1 hour massage only lasted about 30 mins and the therapist had very little strength in her hands and I felt more like I was being pushed around than actually massaged. The facial was pleasant enough, however certainly not the best I've experienced. The pedicure was quite good though and quite thoroughly done. This isn't somewhere I would bother returning to and I wouldn't recommend it unless you were going to get a pedicure done.

The food and service here is outstanding. The food is "rustic" Greek and if you select the trapezi menu (set menu at $57 per person), you will get more food than is humanly possible to eat! I've now been for breakfast, lunch and dinner! They will cater for alllergies - my son asked the waiter if something had nuts in it and without us having asked, they brought him individual dishes of either alternatives to dishes containing nuts or individual servings without nuts. It can be quite noisy, but it's so very warm and welcoming.

We dropped in here one gorgeous sunny day when The Retreat was overflowing with people and discovered a local gem - cute beer garden and lovely laid-back atmosphere. Just tried the food here recently for the first time and really enjoyed it. Very reasonable prices too! This place is a fantastic and quieter alternative to The Retreat and may just become my new "backyard" in the warmer months.

Polly is hands down my favourite bar in Melbourne. It's elegant and refined looking, but has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you go early in the week when it's not too busy, the bar staff will even make up a special cocktail for you with whatever your favourite flavours are. The cocktails are pricey, but they are pretty much the same price as every other comparable bar in Brunswick Street. I just love that luxurious and decadent feel that Polly exudes.
