It must have been a bad night for the staff at Silk. mid week, lots of customers, not much attention from staff and hard to get their attention, both of the dishes our table wanted to order were unavailable (2 our of 8 from the 'main course' menu), the meals took forever (over an hour from odering), food was bistro-like and certainly nothing special.

The wine menu is good, reasonably comprehensive, nice range of local wines and reasonable prices.

Atmosphere is pretty good, not as cozy as I expected and is conveyed by the classy website.

The food and service really let them down, and while I think the concept is great and the place has loads of potential, I don't feel inspired to return.

interior deco is gorgeous. atmosphere is romantic. couches to relax and have a drink with friends. small tables for meals and comfy armchairs for those who book! classy and affordable, tasty meals.
