We decided to have Thai at the last minute and wanted to try somewhere different to Suwan Thai in Lower Plenty, where we normally meet with family. So pleased we went outside of the 'comfort zone'. The restaurant was quiet - we were first through on a Sunday night, so maybe the service was exceptionally fast because there weren't many customers, but I suspect they try to maintain the service any time. Food was fantastic... Pud Thai and Yellow Duck Curry were stand outs, and some of the best Roti I have had. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, clean, modern, fresh flavours, nice relaxed music in the background. BYO wine. Will definitely go back, I think we've found a great local Thai to rival others, can't believe it's taken us so long to discover it! Highly recommended!

We ordered take away and were really disappointed, Thai being one of our take-aways/dine out meals of choice. Other than our order being mixed up and us bringing the wrong one home then having to go back and get another (they offered us a credit voucher to apologise)... the Pad Thai and the Larb were both bland and the peanut sauce with the roti was very oily. While they did try to make up for their mistake, for which I commend them, I don't think we will go back as it just isn't the Thai we know and love.

Went for breakfast with the kids. Had some lovely crepes, eggs and raisin toast between us all. Presentation was great, taste really nice, kids devoured theirs and husband wanted more! Staff were lovely, and there was space for the kids to have a play and not get in the way. Coffee was pretty good too. Seemed far to quiet, hope more people discover it soon!

Enormous range of samples in the shop, very helpful with letting us borrow samples to get ideas for colour matching etc. Kerry was very helpful with making choices. Ready to install by ETA. A few hiccups with installation (bits missing) but installed professionally and efficiently.

It must have been a bad night for the staff at Silk. mid week, lots of customers, not much attention from staff and hard to get their attention, both of the dishes our table wanted to order were unavailable (2 our of 8 from the 'main course' menu), the meals took forever (over an hour from odering), food was bistro-like and certainly nothing special.
The wine menu is good, reasonably comprehensive, nice range of local wines and reasonable prices.
Atmosphere is pretty good, not as cozy as I expected and is conveyed by the classy website.
The food and service really let them down, and while I think the concept is great and the place has loads of potential, I don't feel inspired to return.
if you plan to go out for dinner, lunch, breakfast, get take away now and then, coffee at some of the franchised chains, movies, bowling, get car hire, stay in resorts interstate, or even go to major attractions, there is something in here to save the cost of the book + more back. I was surprised that we saved about $120 within a month of buying the book with interstate car hire on holiday and an special anniversary dinner. It all adds up and this is a fantastic way to save a few dollars along the way. (there is also a discounted online shopping service linked to the entertinment book, which is only available to entertainment book subscribers. Some graet value there!)

Zac's is a fantastic butcher! I live a fair way from there, so can't call it my local, but fortunately am out in the area a few times a week and enjoy getting meat from there more than any other butcher in Banyule/Nillumbik. Not only is the atmosphere inside the butcher clean, professional, local and inspiring, but quality is always exceptionally high, taste is amazing, pre-packaged cuts are easy and delicious, service friendly and helpful. Meat is not noticeably more expensive than anywhere else comparable, and is far superior to supermarket meat. Happily help with less common orders. Have a great range of not only meats and deli-style items (including some fish cuts), but sauces and simmers. Highly recommended.
John was photographer for our wedding 5 years ago, and has since photographed our children and family. John provides personalised service, attention to detail, exceptional skill & pride in his work, although he is always modest and constantly striving for better. These attribute, among others, mean that we always go back to him for natural, 'precious moments captured', special, personal records of our family and will continue to do so for years to come.
A beautiful shopping experience. The range of lovely, classic, typically handmade with love toys is beautiful, though not quite as extensive as I would like. None the less, staff are always friendly, and it's always hard to leave empty-handed! While not *cheap*, items are exceptional quality.
Fabulous customer service, although I felt a little ignored once recently, the staff were incredibly helpful the most recent time, and product range exceptional. I am amazed at how much they fit into the tiny space, but the layout has improved over the last 12 months, and I will certainly be back!
