I stay here a number of times each year and I have never had a bad experience. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and attentive. The rooms are very well appointed and the entire resort is cleverly designed. The amenities are fantastic and there's enough to keep both adults and kids entertained for hours - indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts, games room, bouncy pillows. I just love Silverwater Resort!

Best place to stay if you have children. Silverwater is located just before the bridge that leads into Phillip Island. The gym is pretty average, but theres a indoor and outdoor pool, sauna spa and tennis court that are fantastic. Theres also a small games room and jumping pillow. Very reasonable pricing to for a room.

The room we had was lovely- an apartment looking onto water.

Only gripe was with gym- rower was broken, out of 3 big machines, only one had pin for weights, so you had to use 1 pin between the 3 machines.

Overall though- facilities were good (pool, sauna, spa), room was spotless. The bed was giant, all linen and towels were crisp- we enjoyed our stay.

We have been to this resort many times over the years and we have always loved it, however they are under new management now and for the worse. We stayed in January 2014 and found the service terrible. The facilities are not as clean, the pools were disgusting, they were not cleaned. We thought that maybe this was a one off as we were there last easter and it was great. So we thought we would give it another try and tried to book a 3 + night with 3 other families for this easter, however it would not allow us to book 3 nights. So we contacted them and the response we got was it is under new management and the minimum is 4 nights. We asked to speak to the manager who contacted us the next day. He was rude, did not care that we were returning customers and said that 4 nights was the minimum regardless of what the website states. He did not even have the decency to apologise. Terrible customer service. I would hate to own one of these apartments and have this management looking after my investment.

Stayed in a lovely apartment with great views of the water while using the resort as a base for trips to Phillip Island. The apartment I was in had it's own kitchen so I didn't need to use the restaraunt although it was nice knowing it was there if needed. I had two balconies leading out from the apartment both giving different views and including BBQ facilities. Just a shame the weather wasn't better during my stay (lots of rain), it would be nice to go back with better weather and use the BBQ. Spacious grounds and very good staff who were quick to offer help when we needed something done.

On arrival we found that they had mistakenly debited my credit card by $300 too much! However they were very good about identifying the problem (I hadn't, but would have when the statement arrived) and fixing it.
The room was small but very good. The view was fantastic!
A MAJOR problem for me, and one I can't forgive, is that the full length windows along the "wall with a view" had no blackout options! There were 3 roll-down blinds that reduced the light getting in and to make it worse, between the blinds was a gap of about 15cm. we were woken up in the morning by the sun coming up - it came up at about 6.13AM and the light flooding in. It is totally NOT ACCEPTABLE to have no choice about what time you wake up on a holiday. Getting out of bed should not be dictated by the furnishings (or lack thereof).
Everything else was good to excellent but because of the light issue I will never be back.

Very impressive-looking apartments set on a lovely landscape, surrounded by great ocean views. When we checked in, we asked for a higher-level apartment or one with a view, since it's the low season - we were then reluctantly given one with partial ocean view. We had a two-bedroom apartment which could supposedly accommodate a maximum of four people.

. Bathroom was clean, with four sets of bath and pool towels. Hair dryer, washing machine, ironing board were all provided. But bathroom amenities were terrible. Only one set of shampoo/soap/body wash (bearing in mind the apartment was designed for a maximum of four people...) for two nights were provided for us. We had to go to reception for an extra night's supply.

. The air-conditioning control was not a great design. When temperatures dropped at night (and even though it was summer, it got pretty cool), we could not change it to heating. Also, during the day, the control was set to either living area or the bedrooms (both bedrooms controlled together). There is no separate control for bedrooms 1 and 2 and living area. This is extremely inconvenient.

. Foxtel was not available, though it was advertised and they had the Foxtel magazine.

. The first night after watching the penguins parade, we went back to the hotel for food and drinks at about 10pm but was disappointed to find that the restaurant actually closed at 9pm. The woman at the restaurant/bar was extremely rude and seemed to take pleasure in our discomfort, telling us somewhat gloatingly that they were closed.

The second night when we went to the bar for a drink, we were told abruptly that the kitchen was closed at 8.45pm.

It was a bit disturbing that not even a lounge was open beyond 9pm, bearing in mind that the complex was located in the middle of nowhere - at least 20km from any tourist attractions and Cowes.

If I were going to Phillip Island again, I would not think I would choose this resort again. The location is not near any tourist attractions or restaurants, and the only restaurant inside closes too early. It might be good for family with young children who would go to bed before 9pm, and there are facilities eg pool, tennis courts, playground etc that could keep them entertained. However personally I would choose one of the ones in Cowes next time, the Silverwater Resort wasn't a great experience.

This is one of my favourite places to stay. They have a range of accomodation including 1,2 & 3 bedroom apartments, which are spread out in blocks around the resort and have everything you need. We have found the staff to be really friendly and helpful, and the facilities are really good. Tennis courts, outdoor & indoor pool, table tennis, pool table, volleyball, kids playground and an oval. Alot of the apartments also have water views. We have also been to the restaurant a couple of times now and the experience was excellent both times. Highly recommend!!

Spent a weekend here and I must say we've really enjoyed it! Service was great, room was top notch equipped and clean, a lot of facilities to spend your time beside swimming pool, tennis courts and air hockey!
