Frequently Dine here and really enjoy it. Good quality food, lot's of choice, good service AND one of the few restaurants in the area that allows BYO - meaning you can dine at a reasonable price.

Really good friendly, happy service - the staff must be happy and motivated.
Menu a bit short of options other than pizza/pasta, sweets very lacking. Food was great though and the atmosphere too. We went with a couple who'd been there twice before and they were greeted by name!
Really good night out. Would definitely recommend.

I love this place! We visit often on weekends and public holidays so that we can relax with a good wine, partake of wonderful platters of food (you can choose your own cheeses if you're having a cheese platter, there's dips, ploughmans platters, etc - not main courses as such, but very filling). The best bit of all is the owners voice - Tim has been in the music industry all his life (and it's been a long life...sorry Tim) and is just a brilliant singer and guitarist. He sings all the classic laid back songs of the past - Streets of London, Sundown, Sliippin away, etc. Singing starts 1PM each weekend/pub holiday. Unfortunately, the busier it gets, the less singing he does as he has to help out at the bar/tasting area.

Staff were really really good! Menu was more limited than expected but we all found something interesting. Food was high quality and of sufficient size and all our mains were served at the same time which is good. Food and drinks were quite expensive. View was very good.
If it wasn't so expensive I would have rated value and overall much higher.

On arrival we found that they had mistakenly debited my credit card by $300 too much! However they were very good about identifying the problem (I hadn't, but would have when the statement arrived) and fixing it.
The room was small but very good. The view was fantastic!
A MAJOR problem for me, and one I can't forgive, is that the full length windows along the "wall with a view" had no blackout options! There were 3 roll-down blinds that reduced the light getting in and to make it worse, between the blinds was a gap of about 15cm. we were woken up in the morning by the sun coming up - it came up at about 6.13AM and the light flooding in. It is totally NOT ACCEPTABLE to have no choice about what time you wake up on a holiday. Getting out of bed should not be dictated by the furnishings (or lack thereof).
Everything else was good to excellent but because of the light issue I will never be back.

I needed spare parts for a sliding shower screen (that's no longer sliding!!). I dropped in to Jayee and described the problem. The lady on reception was very good, then I had the sales guy trying to help me out. He couldn't find 1 small plastic part so he went out to his car and searched for one, whilst the boss chipped in to continue the search inside.
All this help and advice for $10 worth of parts.
I was very impressed with the amount of help I got!

Stayed here for 3 nights and were very impressed with the size and quality of the rooms (We were in the "Comfort Inn Premier and Executive Suites). Also available on site are "Historic Cottages" and "Guest House accommodation"
The breakfast area and reception are very clean and well looked after. Staff are very friendly, polite and easy to get along with.
Thoroughly recommend!

This review is for Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village, Warrnambool VIC

24 Jul 2013

We hadn't heard of this and just followed signs to "Maritime Village" and though unsure, decided to enter and look around. The best "mistake" we ever made!
Others reviewers have had plenty of good things to say about the various attractions of the Maritime Village. They're all correct!
It is an ABSOLUTE MUST to see the laser show (held in the evenings). DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR WARRNAMBOOL without going to the laser show. You can buy a ticket that covers Dinner/Laser show and access to the village for the day. In the end we didn't do the dinner package because we found out that the restaurant was closed and that the restaurant across the street was to be used instead. We didn't like the menu options for the one across the street.
This was our only complaint: We were shown the menu for Pippas restaurant, we liked it. We came back later to book and discovered that Pippas wasn't open that evening and that they are using the restaurant over the street. This had a different menu with poor selection of options.

Have been visiting this restaurant for many years. The food has always been excellent. The service has always been excellent. It's always been expensive but was worth it, NOT ANY MORE. The servings have been getting smaller and smaller over recent times and last time we were there a group of 10 of us had one of the more expensive banquets - we were still quite hungry afterwards! Simply not acceptable - particularly when you are paying well over average prices. We called in at McDonald after leaving the restaurant.

Have been here a few times now and for value for money I think it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. Dated decor, but good service and the food is great.
