While Chermside is beginning to gain its cool, often outside of Chermside proper Chermsiders look down on places in the surrounding suburbs (except for Wavell Heights who literally and figuratively look down on everyone).

Anyway, to cut to the chase, the Sit and Chill cafe is a great find in Chermside West. I think it used to have a different name, so I guess there are new owners.

I like this spot because it is beside the Downfall Creek Bikeway and so it is a nice place to stop on a bike ride. While there are better places in Chermside, you usually have to cruise up or down Gympie to get to them. Instead here we have a little cafe in a strip mall.

Cheap too, so while it is not the best, it is still great.

Excellent food at great prices such as a Hamburger $5.90, a great place to go and eat and relax, no traffic fumes, you can talk without yelling. They are open from 8am and they do breakfast, lunch and dinner.
