Great hotel without the pub vibe. Caters for large groups & takes bookings which is always a bonus. Parma's are definitely worth a try :)

A group of us went to Skinny Dog on a week night for dinner. Excellent choice! Great parmas - either a half or full was available and the half was plenty big enough with chips and salad as well. Pizzas were very tasty with lots of topping. Another favourite was the calamari - a mountain of it! All our mains were less than $20 (except for the full parma $27), drinks were reasonably priced and the service was great - friendlyand helpful staff. Will certainly go there again!

The Skinny Dog hotel is great throughout with a good bistro area as well as a great outdoor area. The menu has lots of good choices and reasonable prices. The drinks are also reasonable with a generally okay wine list. Food service was quick even though every table was full. Meal quality was great. Try the Saganaki. Service is okay - could use a couple of extra staff members when the tables are full. Takes group bookings as well.

A few of us friends went along to this pub for a catch up and enjoyed our time there.

We had a meal and everyone was very pleased with the portion as it was very filling and well cooked.

I haven't had a meal at the Skinny Dog, just been for drinks, but it was always busy, crowded and noisy – it has great atmosphere. It was great for drinks on a Friday night.

I finally went here after after hearing the non stop talk on the size of the parmigiana's they serve. It's a lovely place, out the back towards the infamous Leo's supermarket, is where you want to sit. Anywhere else and you get the feeling your not going to enjoy it. At the time we were lucky to have a friend working there and we really got looked after with food and drinks so huge bonus for that and big thanks to the girls. The food is....well, i suggest you don't eat for a week before you go here. The parma is the Only thing to order and you can feed a family on it. It is beyond me how it could naturally be this large, more from an elephant than a chook! Go there, it's worth a try and you will go back! Just remember, it is a pub.

I went for dinner and the trivia on a Monday night. The trivia was fun, despite the other groups cheating, but there's not much that can be done about that.
I was very disappointed in the service however. There was four of us and my meal was forgotten, despite us repeating the order several times. By the time I got it my friends has almost finished their meals. It then took me about half an hour to order a soft drink at the bar; not because it was busy, but because the bartender kept wandering off.
On a more positive note, the layout is quite good, but it gets cold in the back room.
My overall review is that it's definitely not worth the prices, I won't be going back.

Very fond memories of this place, hasn't changed much over the years, and is still very worthy of stopping in for a fancy imported beer on a Friday after work

Had heard good things about the Skinny Dog and finally went along to try it.
The interior is very nice and looks modern but is functional too. A beer garden out the back is great, and there are plenty of large TV's around which had the footy on. Hard to go wrong with that, just make sure you sit facing the TV if you're into it.
The service is good, and it must be said that the staff are all quite good looking, no doubt to match the interior of the venue.
I ordered the chicken parma, which was $25. Note that they also have a half-parma option for $15, which my partner took.
My parma came out on a large oval plate, and the actual piece of chicken was HUGE. It was quite thick and covered most of the plate. It was crumbed well, with some sort of herb which I haven't tried elsewhere. You could easily have eaten the chicken without the toppings.
The cheese and ham on top covered the entire parma, meaning no nude chicken.
The parma was DELICIOUS, and filling. Definitely filling!
The half-parma was really big too, and I would have been satisfied with just that one.
Oh, and sides too!
The sides came in separate bowls - the salad was fresh and tasty, while the chips were really crunchy.
Overall, the Skinny Dog promises to become one of my hot spots.

This pub serves the largest chicken parma I have ever seen (would easily feed 3 people & the good news is they do doggy bags which you will need). Greatly improved atmosphere since the refurb. Courtyard area, new bar, pool table & sports screens.

Approximate cost: $18
