I've been to slickers a few times and the staff members are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The property has AMAZING views and loads of different trails. They have a wide range of horses tall ones, short ones, black ones, white ones and spotty ones. I recommend this place for any ages and riding abilities.

I did the winery horse ride yesterday and it was a great day through some beautiful scenery. There were about 20 other riders in the group, with about 5 friendly staff too. Actual riding time was about 6hrs on a full day tour. Great experience and lots cheaper than other riding places I've looked at. The ride included a cheese platter and wine tasting at the winery, lunch and any other drinks are extra (lunches were approx $20-$40). They do make you sign a disclaimer before riding to say they have no liability for any injuries etc. I did think this, and a few other bits of info (eg poorly signed location, the fact that you shouldn't wear a backpack riding, which meant no water for 4hrs!!), should have been made clearer beforehand rather than the morning of! Otherwise, I'd highly recommend this even for absolute beginners.

I love Slickers! They offer horse riding trail adventures for everyone from beginners to advanced experienced riders, with beautifuls trails and camping facilities around the gorgeous lake. they even have a winery ride for those who are interested. I love this place, you can even lease a horse or adjist if you so choose. OH did I say I love this place?
