Really great food, cheap prices. Great family oriented atmosphere. Our family are regulars.

Huge portions, I had the fish and chips and it was perfect. Not too oily, great chips. I had a slice of mud cake ( not eating all of my main, because it just wouldn't have been possible ) and it was huge! Really moist, perfect to share with your partner. Really nice service, no complaints

My suggestion go to this restaurant when you are super hungry as the portions are very sizeable!

there is a good range of the usual favourites, steaks, parmas, pastas etc

A very pleasant place to dine at.. I agreed with tamaram1 that the menu has been revised and less choices than before... Love their chicken scallopini and yea that's been taken out of the menu... My partner and I are not a big eater and found the meal portion all good for us..

The menu was changed and reduced by about 25 meals. We used to come here a lot as it was local and you got large meals for quiet cheap, since the menu has been changed (about 6 months) we have found the meals to be a lot smaller as well. I used to love the Chicken Scallopini but they have axed it :(

Meals are HUGE. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Menu has a lot of variety, the ribs are great value. I would recommend going during the week as they can get very busy on weekends.

Used to go here a lot, but as a vegetarian they have a very limited menu. We used to go just to have their Tofu burgers which were great, with a good sides, but they removed it from their menu as they claimed no one ate tofu. We have now stopped going there, it was a big disappointment. Very noisy place.

We love this place when we get a voucher in the mail for buy one meal get one free! They have great food and the servings are huge! The atmosphere is normally good and theres' plenty of room for kids. Sometimes the service is a bit average and you can wait a while but most of the time it's fine!

At the risk of sounding harsh, Smokin Joe's hardly qualifies as fine dining. When it first opened in Ringwood, the food & service were excellent, & we used to dine there regularly. Last time we dined there, everything was dreadful, the food & the service. It felt as if a bunch of 16 yr-olds were running it. We waited nearly 2 hours for meals & at one point were told that "the chef had walked out"...now, tell me, who on earth says that to the diners? I used to own a restaurant & a more appropriate answer would've been to simply say "we've had a small problem tonight, which has resulted in a lot of the meals being delayed" or something like that. We weren't even offered a complimentary drink or anything. I was quite embarrassed because we had interstate visitors with us. Then 2 weeks ago, my eldest girl met some friends there for dinner, & she reported that not much has changed. It's a shame because I used to frequent the one in Moonee Ponds, in the mid-late 90's & always have fond memories of it.
