Food quality is ok, I guess it is what you expect from an all you can eat buffet type restaurant. Not a huge variety of different dishes. Drinks are quite expensive. Decor is outdated.

My daughter and son-in-law took me to Smorgys at Bundoora for lunch yesterday. We nearly went somewhere else. Before we went she had Googled a few reviews some of which weren't encouraging. One had even used the word "atrocious"! There was a bit of discussion about that, but we decided to give it a go. Glad we did!!

We were pleasantly surprised!!!! It turned out to be the first day for the NEW OWNER. And he was VERY much out to please in every department. Friendly welcome - good food selection - food well presented, well prepared and fresh - great price at $15 each. It was all so good that we found ourselves tempted to work harder than usual at getting our money's worth - especially my son-in-law!!

Not a lot of customers for a Saturday lunch, but I suspect that might change when the word gets around about the "new management" and great food quality at a reasonable price. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give him 11!!!!

My husband and I attended Smorgy's on a Sunday for a buffet lunch. I had high expectations of enjoying an array of great food.

This was the worst buffet experience I have every encountered! The food was cold, unappealing and the variety was extremely limited. I had so few options that looked enticing but I tried to persevere. I got back to my table to find that the food was actually stone cold. The buffet price didn't even include soft drinks. Each drink needed to be purchased individually. The overall atmosphere of this establishment was one of cutting corners to save costs wherever possible. I would have happily paid twice the price to enjoy a variety of great food with a couple of soft drinks included.

I was so disappointed with the food that I actually had to walk up to the staff with my plate in hand and explain why I would not be eating another bite. I was refunded my meal cost and I left.

I would never return to this establishment and recommend a wide berth be given by all.

our family usually go here when we have a birthday we like to go for lunch and you don't get a crowd of people its better when there are no school holidays as you don't have all the little kids playing in the food trays the food range has stayed the same for a long time and the cost of the drinks l think are expensive l love to eat the roast, apple crumble with custard, fresh fruit and desserts

Approximate cost: $19.50

not bad value..depending on when you go, sometimes the food looks a bit old, but for all those who enjoy all you can eat, you really can't go wrong with smorgys, plenty of variety and their soft serve icecream is to die for

Approximate cost: $14
