I recently purchased the so called famous Sorrento vanilla slice and was extremely disappointed. The custard was grainy and the pastry was not up to the standards and the costing of an $8.00 vanilla slice. Either reduce the cost of these substandard vanilla slices or up your game or don’t promote yourself as claiming to be such a great vanilla slice

We had a beautiful mud cake from here. They did give us the wrong size to what we ordered. But the cake was amazing. We then brought a Lemon Tart and must say it had way too much Lemon in it. Other then that. I highly recommend.

When we went there, and saw the prices we were expecting something pretty special. Unfortunately that's not what we got. The pies were 'ok' but just tasted like gravy with little substance and the desserts were not to our taste either. Unfortunate as it was one of the most expensive bakeries i've ever bought from.

The Sorrento Village Bakehouse has a wide variety of scrumptous food including hot pies, sausage rolls and the homemade vanilla slices are simply wonderful.
