You know you ain’t living if you haven’t been banned by a company at least once, right? Furthermore, they didn’t hesitate to mention that they will contact the police. LOL

Speed dating has been fun as I have been with several girlfriends now. If you are thinking of booking an event, please read below. Be careful about which company you book with and read the term and conditions before giving your money.

3 months ago I booked tickets for a friend and I for a speed dating event in Brisbane.

What started as having fun has turned into an annoyance and a total waste of my time.

You can only contact the company via email (a red flag to begin with.) They do not provide a contact number.

- Me: I paid online for tickets to reserve 2 spots, as requested by the company, I emailed them the details of the bank transfer.
- Them: They emailed me, notifying the money hadn’t gone through and that the event was all sold out. My tickets were on the reservation list.
- I checked with my bank and they informed me that the money had been wired through and was received before the event was to be held.
- Me: I relayed this back to the company informing my disappointment.
- Them: They simply said to rebook the event another time.
- Me: I emailed back saying finding another time is difficult. I requested a refund instead.
- Them: no reply
- I contacted my bank, asking for a transaction recall. It was unsuccessful as the company was not answering the bank’s phone calls about the recall.
- Me: I emailed them again, asking for a refund.
- Them: no reply
- ( 2 weeks later) Me: I emailed them again, asking for a refund and to speak to their management about lodging a complaint.
- Them: no reply
- Me: I emailed again , I compromised saying I can try and book another event 1-2 months later
- Them: they replied back saying maybe they’ll book it in if the “money has been wired by then”.
- Me: I emailed asking to confirm the next event
- Them: no reply
- Weeks later
- Me: I emailed venting my frustrations and informed I will seek further advice about my customer rights. As I have paid for service that hasn’t been provided
- Them: they emailed saying that I am rude and that they do not tolerate this behaviour !?!??!!
- I sought after advice online – turns out step number 1 is to try and resolve the conflict with the company
- Me: I emailed them again, expressing my disappointment at their service, making a complaint asking if they would give me a refund.
- Them: they informed me I was rude, they do not tolerate this behaviour. They then informed me in large capital letters that I am BANNED.
Them: they sent another email to confirm this. They said they will not hesitate to contact the police.
- They have never confirmed if they received the funds.
