9 reviews about Spurs Steakhouse

Used to go every Friday night a few years back, but since some other places opened in the area we have been elsewhere for the past 2 years. So decided to go back to Spurs at Mac Square last week and test it out... Boy what a shock! The prices have increased, but definately doesn't reflect the quality of the menu at all! The fitout is still the same old dusty fitout. The menu had changed but not for the better. There was hardly any staff, which reflected there were hardly any customers. They forgot the sauces to our meals, and like other reviewers have stated, the food was cold, and the quality of the steak not so good.
I was there on a Friday night at the end of Summer from 6pm - 7pm and thought it would be pumping, but sadly just me and hubby, plus one other couple who they seated next to us! I mean really? You have the entire restaurant empty but you sit another couple right next to me. You have got to be kidding!
The chefs and wait staff all look like teenagers, no wonder the food looks like something an 8 year old can make - actually forget that, 8 years olds on Junior Masterchef can do a better job!

The WOW Overall 1 star says it all - "I'm surprised they are still in business"
Hate to say it, but businesses like this need honest feedback so they can improve. Definately better options within a few minutes drive across Campbelltown. Won't be going back.

visited once, the food is pretty good but there were some problems with the other meals. the staff were friendly enough but the cutlery was dirty and the food a little expensive fore the area.

We saw that they'd changed hands so hoping for improvement gave them one last try. Definitely last. The food was cold and unappealing, especially the onion rings which were just a heap of cold mushy batter. (they were replaced with fresh, hot ones when we asked - but still could taste very little onion). My potato was smothered in sour cream, whether I wanted it or not - I wasn't asked. Whole experience was mediochre. Goodbye Spurs. Better options nearby.

The menu is very expensive and limited, I understand that it is a steakhouse but they should accomodate more for those non meat eaters like myself. The prices are ridiculous, $25 for Schnitzel and chips! And the service is too pushy

Absolutely horrible. The service was appalling, the meals took forever to come out of the kitchen and when they did they were cold! You could hit the top bread roll of my nephews burger on the table and it actually made a tapping noise, (which is how hard and stale the bread roll was). This is the third time we have eaten there (and only because it was a family occasion and the restaurant was not our choice). Any money is too much money to pay for horrible food! Never again.

Approximate cost: $30.00

very hit and miss. prices went up which ruins the experience of eating there. It lost the mexican food ie the steak and enchilada which was my staple there. Shame because it was nice on its day.

Approximate cost: $30

Last time we went to Spurs (as we often did after a movie) we were very disappointed at how it had gone downhill. Our steak was cold, and it was so noisy inside that we couldn't make ourselves heard to complain. The whole meal in general was very average! There are better steakhouses if you take the short drive to Campbelltown.

The service was ok but the food let the restaurant down. Cheese sauce tasted like a flour goo and the steak was over cooked to what was asked. Orders were not fulfilled properly and some of us were having desert while some were just getting there mains.
Also having to walk around the corner and down the street for a cigarette. No smoking in Kellicar lane at all.
The music was too loud and the staff were interacting more with each other (whinging about patrons) than serving the patrons. Having the cash register at my head all night didn't impress me at all. (Hint to management: Move the register to the corner near the bar away from patrons)
We took a birthday cake with us and they threw more than half of it away without asking us if we wanted it.
Not a happy experience at all. The wooden floor was very slippery

Approximate cost: $25

Interesting to see that we agree. I did not read your rating before I wrote mine. Looks like I was generous!!
