Had a quote today from Sam. Very polite and gave a good price for the 3 trees I want cut down and removed. Looking at having it done in about 6 weeks.

I was approached by my mailbox and was offered SSS tree services. A huge conifer had began to upend the concrete slabs of the driveway and it was true it had to be cut down. Jerry, the arborist and I negotiated a fair price and it was down that day.
Jerry hires the stump grinder he told me, and does several stumps on a single day which makes sense I suppose, and our stump was dealt with two days after the tree was gone.
The neighbours reckon I got a good price for getting the tree removed and I reckon Jerry and his mate did a bang up job.

Came to door to ask if we needed some trimming of trees/plants. After some discussion we agreed to remove a large tree. They removed it strait away and came back the next day to remove the stump. Left everything as requested and provided all paperwork and ABN. No issues here.

I was approached by one of the workers from this company (it has several names-(sss tree lopping, sharp shape sweep, sss tree services) as I arrived home as they were cutting down a neighbours tree, we hadn't intended to have any work done just yet however we negotiated a reasonable 'cash' price to remove a tall pine tree at the front of our property and two very tall poplar trees at the back that needed removal. They were quick to cut trees down and mulched front tree although they left three huge sections of the trunk across our front path-couldn't get into the front door-impossible for me to move myself. The poplars at the back were only felled and left-despite the agreement to remove and mulch smaller bits and cut up the trunk to about 30 cm sections. It was towards the end of the day when one worker came to the door to tell me they had finished and they would be back the next day to finish the neighbours and my work. I though not much of this so I paid the man (silly me!- I do know better than this!) expecting them to return. They didn't return the next day so the following day I called to enquire when to expect them; on the first call-"oh I can't talk now I am driving, I'll call you back", he did but then I got "oh, it's a bad line...I'll call you back." So far no return call and the yard is a mess and I don't have access to my front door. No answer today when I have tried calling again. I wouldn't recommend this company and I am kicking myself that I paid the full amount before all work was completed. There are plenty of other tree companies to choose and I would not recommend this one!
