I had a failure of a Ducted system. He quoted for its repair in November. Came out with the part in late December , but it failed to work , then requoted and said it would be a month .
Had extreme difficulty getting him to make a proper written report , almost had to do it for him for the insurance claim . Then was uncooperative with all the follow up detail required for the claim to proceed . Then after promising to repair it but not till 31 Jan , Sam then in middle of January said he could not do the job .
Very bad service and operation . I reported it to the air con manufacturer who I was referred to him by as a registered repair agent who were not impressed either .
Maybe they are ok for new installations but not for complex service issues or major repairs in my observations .

Prompt on the job, job done..... 2 Mitsubishi Electric split systems installed professionally,
as per my custom installation requirements.

Excellent phone manner, ( Honest ) .

My split system died and needed an expensive part. A friend in the aircon industry verified the problem and the cost of the new part so I knew I wasn't being taken for a ride when I got a quote for a repair. When i called Fujitsu they recommended Sam from Startech. I rang him and he came out the same day, confirmed the issue and ordered the part at a lower price than what my friend had quoted. 5 days later he received the part, came out the same day, fitted and tested the unit quickly. Sam was always punctual, professional and polite. His labor rates were reasonable, the big cost was from fujitsu for the part.
