My partner and I decided to visit Stephanie's Day Spa while we were staying at the Outrigger Resort in January this year.

When we arrived at the spa we were given first time client detail forms to fill out in the reception area. Within a few moments our therapists came out to greet us and led us through to the change room areas where we were given bath robes, slippers and disposable underwear to change into. The change rooms had individual lockers that we could lock our clothing and other personal belongings in during our treatments.

Once in our robes we were ushered down into couple's room where we received our massages and facial treatments. The therapists were very professional and applied just the right amount of pressure during the massage and then proceeded to have us roll onto our backs for the facials.

The rooms were dimly lit with soft flickering lighting and relaxing music playing gently in the background. The room was a good temperature although the therapists said that they were happy to adjust it had we needed it adjusted.

The treatments that we got were an hour long full body massage and a 45 minute facial using Payot products. Our treatments went right up till the allowed treatment time (unlike some salons that seem to cut into the treatment times). Once we had finished our treatments we were walked back to lounge area where we were able to sit back on the reclining lounges and enjoy a herbal tea or a sorbet. When we were ready we went back to the change rooms and had the opportunity to shower, freshen up and change back into our clothing.

The treatments were expensive but the day spa experience was worth it and provided a truly tranquil atmosphere.

We did try to book in again for different treatments on the last day of our holiday but as it was raining they were fully booked out. It seemed everyone else had the same idea!
