New owners have up the decor and food quality great food
Highly recommend the salt and pepper squid. This is their signature dish and I can absolutely see why.
We also had fried rice, sweet and sour pork, chicken and almods, and mixed vegetables
Not a fancy place but by far the best of the local chinese restaurants.
Happy feasting
Highly recommended
Absolutely delicious.
Salt and Pepper Squid is the best I've ever had.
Spring rolls were tasty and crispy ... heaven.
Fried rice was delightfully flavoursome.
I'm a true believer and a fan now
We made a reservation for 7pm and when we got there at around 7.05pm, our table wasn't ready despite the restaurant not being full. In fact, we weren't immediately greeted at the door and the young servers just ignored us. Not a good start. There was one friendly waitress though.
4 of us dined here so we chose the $24 per head banquet. It came with 1 serve each of a small wonton and fried dumpling (2 pieces in total for each person). Then came the mains of 1 fried rice, 1 boneless lemon chicken, 1 sweet and sour pork and 1 stir fried mixed vegetable and a container of white rice. The banquet came with 1 jug of soft drink and a dessert of ice cream topped with a maraschino cherry and 2 "love letter" biscuit rolls.
Overall, portions were pretty generous and taste-wise, it was ok but I wouldn't be rushing back. The kitchen seemed to be havign a backlog that evening as we waited about 25 minutes for our entrees to be served.
Approximate cost: $24
