I have been using Lidia’s services for so long I can’t remember!! I have no complaints! This lady is s professional .. nothing half baked! She even sewed my daughter’s Spiderman head back on, looks better than when I purchased it!

I had a fully lined dress with a heavily sequinned bodice and delicate fabric that I needed taken in at the waist for a special occasion. Not able to take it in myself due to the skill required and the work involved, I took the dress to a few places around Melbourne to get a quote. I was told by one person that it was too much work and not possible in Melbourne CBD and so I went looking a bit closer to home and found Lydia on WOMO.

Firstly, Lydia is very welcoming, accommodating and honest - fully deserving of the rave reviews on WOMO. She told me outright what I had heard before, that taking in my dress is a lot of work due to there being many sections and the nature of the fabric, but she was willing to do it in under two weeks.

I left the dress with her and a $50 deposit and came back in under two weeks to pick it up as it was ready. Looking from the inside of the item, it was difficult to see where Lydia had opened it up and resewn the lining and sections in place as it was properly finished.

I was a bit apprehensive about how it would turn out, simply because my body type means fitting my waist and chest is always a problem, but after trying it on, I was happy to find that it fitted perfectly and showed no tell-tale signs it had been altered.

I would recommend Lydia to anyone wanting any tailoring in the western suburbs, she is reliable and highly experienced.

I got my pants more fitted and jacket sleeves shortened. Great fit for a great price. Suffice to say, I would definitely return. They were lovely and their service is second to none.

I have been here numerous times in the past for clothing alterations. The service is good, reliable and the work is done promptly. I wouldn't bring my clothes anywhere else. I only trust this place!
Jeans taken up are $15. If you bring more clothes, they let you negotiate.

Was here to fix up my T-shirt and work trousers. The lady, I think it was Lidia, was extraordinarily kind and warm. Was super easy to explain to her what I wanted and was done in no time later in the day. She took in the shirt by two sizes and shorten the cuffs. I would highly recommend her if you're living around the west side. Wicked!

WOW, what can I say about this place that hasn't been said already? Lydia is very professional, friendly, and quick. I have tried other tailors/alteration places around the area (highpoint, watergardens, central west) and there is no place that matches her in what she does.

I always use Lydia's service as I am hopeless with a needle!!! She always goes the extra mile to make sure that I am happy. I have had buttons done, jeans shortened, patches put on clothes, taken in and out and so on. Always extremely well done.

My friend recommended Lydia as she swears by her. She is fast, so friendly, professional and was extremely understanding about my tight deadline.
My groomsmen and I needed our to get our pants and suits altered ASAP as I didn't get a chance to get it done sooner. So in total there were 3 pairs of pants to be taken in, one pair to be let out around the waist and one of the jackets to be made slimmer on the sides.
Not only was Lydia able to get all 3 suits and pants done in the same day I dropped them off and it was such a reasonable price considering the amount of work it involved. I used to take my stuff to Alter-It in Highpoint, but now I'm completely converted.
After the wedding she also arranged for the dry cleaning of the suits and the wedding dress.

My wife and her friends all take her dresses there too now.

I had my wedding dress altered here twice by Lydia, once to take it up and two weeks later to take in after losing some pre-wedding weight. The extensive alterations were very reasonably priced for a 5 layer complex wedding gown at $300- for both alterations. My fiance's wedding tuxedo trousers were also taken in and dry cleaned for $70- after receiving a quote from a city tailors for $180- without dry cleaning. Lydia is friendly, funny, super efficient and very well priced. I would not hesitate to recommend her services.

Lydia is great! My friend told me that she was good value and really friendly (ie cheaper than other places) and that she could alter wedding dresses. I took mine to get it shortened and she also did my bridesmaids dresses. She was so patient and so friendly and was very attentive to my concerns and needs. My wedding dress had a lot of beads and fine detail and she took it in and shortened it and all the details remained in tack.

The dresses turned out beautifully.

I travelled from Ballarat but it was well worth it.

Whenever I head out to town I bring in my jeans and jackets for her to alter. My husband also gets his stuff done by her too.
