IF I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS I WOULD

I am so disappointed by [redacted name] "service". [redacted name] is completely unprofessional in my opinion.

I engaged [redacted name] company six weeks ago after putting an advertisement on Service Seeking and [redacted name] responded to my call. I clearly stated that I was looking for a regular cleaning service for two hours fortnightly in my post. I was looking for was someone to sweep and mop a small living/dining area, clean the open plan kitchen (we rarely cook so it is mainly just wiping the benches down), clean one small bathroom and separate laundry and sweep and mop the hall.

I was impressed with the cleaner who came, Julie was lovely.

It was a great hassle finding a cleaner and I was pleased with Julie and her daughter and happy to think I had found someone I could rely upon for a regular service. I had three services (including the first four hour clean) and then four days after my third service I get a text message from [redacted name] stating " Hi I hope your (sic) well. Just wanted to advise cleaners are no longer available and I don't have anyone else that can assist sorry.

I asked if there was a problem and was told "No all good. Sorry for the hassle. Thank you." and that the reason there was no one to assist us was because all her cleaners were too busy, when they had not been the Monday four days prior. So the only way I can imagine the cleaners were not available is if [redacted name] assigned them to another job that was more profitable for her. I had been initially pushed to have more than the two hours I wanted, but refused this.

I am disgusted by this behaviour. Not only is finding a new cleaner a hassle, as [redacted name] pointed out, but it is an exercise in trust as you provide a key and allow people into your home. I am furious with [redacted name] attitude and complete lack of professionalism or loyalty to a regular customer who always paid on time in advance. I would NEVER recommend this service to anyone.

Prices are average. Cleaning was very good, but when two of their best cleaners left the company, I decided to stick with those cleaners for as long as I was able. The owner of Swish apparently took this very personally, because when I tried to contact her a few months later to resume service, she stopped replying to my messages. Do they not want business? We've gone somewhere else that was a bit cheaper, just as good, and actually answered calls.

NOTE: I did get a very passive-aggressive text message from her *after* posting this review.
