Ridiculously over priced for food you could cook better yourself.

The large chips is a 10cm diameter cup that’s maybe 12cm deep.
Last semester they would put that cup in a paper bag and over fill the cup. For $5!

I can buy a whole kilo of frozen chips at Woolies for $3!!

And now on day 1 2023 I went to get the large chips and they refuse to put it in a bag or fill the tiny cup anymore than the rim….. STILL FOR $5.

Mate, everyone coming to this canteen is studying!! That means no time to earn enough money to pay ridiculous prices for food that’s soggy, bland or not even hot anymore.

It’s putrid, boycott tighes hill tafe canteen!!!

Food is nothing great, alot of it is deepfriend and overprices, scollops taste like powdered potato/cardboard, egg and bacon rolls sit there for so long the roll goes hard. Only decent thing is the sandwich abr and that is fairly expensive. Overall, unimpressed :(

Approximate cost: $8

How disappointing. Is this a cafe run by people learning at TAFE, or is it a cafe leased out and run as a monopoly on campus?

Room For Improvement!! Nothing interesting about the menu. The atmosphere could be improved. They have to much fried food.If they had more fresh food an changed the menu up every now an then might make it more interesting. A little expensive.

unfortunately just what you'd expect from a institutional cafeteria, nothing interesting about the food or the atmosphere - one would only eat there because there's no other choice when you're hungry and haven't brought your own! Very disappointing menu

Well, because they have a monopoly and a captive audience, there's no desire to improve the food. I feel they are a little dear, and so much fried food. They have other, non fried food, but the price is high. Coffee is in a paper cup for over $3.50. Pies $3, sandwiches are not spectacular, just the cello box type, and can be up to $6.
