It was one of the best Indain Food tasted in Australia and will recommend to everyone to go and enjoy the authentic indian food

I love dining here. The decor is a little shabby but the food and service more than makes up for that. The dishes are a generous size and have a delicious authentic flavour as well as being very reasonably priced.
For an extra bargain you can have a $10 lunch which consists of 3 dishes, rice, naan bread and pappadums, awesome value!

My friend and I have been here on multiple occasions, the food is just awesome, I have always got take away, and the food generally lasts me for 2 or more meals.

The restaurant is in a convenient location.

The only thing that kinda sucks is the rather cramped space in the take away room.

My wife and i have had several great evenings at this unpretentious; yet authentic curry house.
the front of house man is the owner and nothing is too much trouble for him. we have heard the odd grumble about speed of service but in this restaurant by waiting a few minutes to get the authentic taste of beautifully cooked indian cuisine makes it all the more worthwhile.
his meals are excellent value for money and unlike most other curry hoouse they serve huge platters of basmati rice at no extra charge. Our 28 year old well travelled son has joined us in Hobart and we have taken him there a few times and he too has agreed that it top class for quality and taste. Whenevr we have eaten at the "Taj" my wife repeats how she feels she has indulged in a feast. On occasions the owners wife does the cooking and on these occasions the food seems even better.Possibly the feminine touch.
this establishment seems to have missed some of the headlines but for real afficionados of indian cuisine it is certainly the place to visit.! Another excellent recommendation for an Indian restaurant is when asians eat their and this definitely the case with the Taj Palace

Taj Palace is a great little Indian restaurant in a Tasmanian Heritage building. It offesr both dine-in and take away, and the take away is reasonably quick.
The food is yummy, staff are friendly and service is good.
